Park in the field with many others. Lots of room in the field. Only problem would be the smell from cows or something!
Cross the 1 lane bridge and just a short distance down on left is the drive (steep but we had no problems with 36' fifth wheel and truck).
No office (they stop by to collect fee)
20, 30, 50 amp with excellent water and sewer hookup. All sites back up to very nice creek and a view of the bicycles going down creeper trail.

Very tight spaces and just a gravel parking lot with old hookups. Look at pictures to get an idea of this place. The surrounding grounds are awesome with lots of trails and ball fields, playground and more. But the RV part is in need of serious help.
Also this is near train tracks.

While stopping to get diesel in town pulled up the app and found this nugget about 5 miles away. After driving windy roads all day from John Day National Monument it was a welcome stop. We drove our Chevy 3500 with the heaviest of truck campers up what they say was a 17% grade- our truck said 10%. Granted there were some potholes in the road but completely manageable. Can’t believe FREE!! If you’re near- check out this gem! *But be sure to check the season dates.

Basic KOA with the same amenities most of them have. Only stayed here because everything in Denver was booked. Typically we avoid these over priced campgrounds but needed elec hookups to run AC. Easy access to highway and pull thru spots.
Can be noisy since this is between highway and railroad tracks.

Stayed 1 nite and would stay again. Very easy in and out. Near train tracks, but trains run only 2 to 3 times per nite. Also right on grass airstrip where they have regular music on stage and seafood restaurant which is supposed to be great (according to campers who were staying there). There were many campers that were there for a while - as they were working on nearby pipeline (supposed to be done by fall of 2018). Park is very clean and well kept.

Just pulled in and wonder what campground previous people reviewed. This place is bad! The sewer smell from the next door treatment plant and the garbage in the campground. Interesting how campers use the fire pits as trash receptacles. I wonder if the campground host is supposed to clean the sites or the park rangers?? Our site is not the size advertised. It is supposed to be 60’ long and our 36’ fifth wheel fits along with the truck turned sideways. Dead trees above the RV. Really! The positive - cheap, close to Memphis and there is supposed to be a pool.

Nice spot for free - 30 AMP, there is supposed to be water and dump station here, but did not see it. Also it looked like 2 of the 3 sites were taken by people that were staying more than 2 nites. (it is supposed to be 2 nite max).

First the good- paved roads (period).
The bad- It is apparently run by someone other than the National Forest (a concessionaire?) thus their taped over fee increase (all others we stayed were $10). For the extra $6 you get a campground that looks straight out of Dawn of the Dead. Sites that are not taken care of - fire pits with trash (shame on other campers) - and cigarette butts like breadcrumbs to where their tent/RV must have been. Huge dead trees cut down and lying like dead soldiers ALL OVER the place. Maybe this is what’s called a deadwood forest? It would be one thing if it looked natural but - nah.
The UGLY- Really people? At least if you’re going to poop in the woods do it AWAY from your campsite. Enough said.
