We stayed 1 night and the people in the store/restaurant where all very friendly! The coffee was great too! Nice place for a night to rest. We got there around noon and left the next morning around 8am. Make sure to stop in the store not just to get your parking permit but also to check out all the delicious stuff 😁
This is technically a harvest host location but they will allow non harvest hosts guests to stay as well. It’s a grass field of to the side of their parking area.
There are views of rolling hills and the sites, smells and sounds of their petting zoo. Despite being close to the highway we didn’t notice road noise.

The staff were all super friendly & helpful. They have a great wine and cheese selection and all kinds of delicious dips, truffles, jams, cheese, syrups, etc. Since we are members of https://tinyurl.com/HarvestHost (an organization that offers affordable places to stay) we bought several items from them since they let us stay on their property, but they said it wasn't necessary at all.
THE NEGATIVE: When we pulled into the grassy RV parking area at 4pm on a Monday evening, there was only one other trailer, (we loved being able to back up to beautiful fields), but between 9 pm-2 am . . . RV's kept driving in, one after another, by morning (8 am) we could barely squeeze our way out since there were so many trailers. My advice, especially if you want to leave in the morning, is to park in a place where you won't get blocked in.
Other than the noise of the road and the noise of the trailers driving up, it was a nice FREE place to stay.
The place you park at overnight is a small field next to the parking lot for the cheese company, it’s beautiful with rustic charm and farm life all around you. They have a 2 night stay max, but it’s completely free. You have to go into the shop to register to stay and get a piece of paper to put in your window, the people are super nice and the samples inside are delicious. We also got some cheese that they made in house for dinner and it was delicious! We would definitely stay again.
Great store with cheese, spreads, wine and ice cream. People were very nice, great view. Highly recommend.
Park in field belonging to Blue Heron French Cheese company. Register in store, they give you paper for windshield. Lots of goodies in store including their cheese & ice cream. Have deli for breakfast & soups/sandwiches for rest of day.
Pulled off upon reading the reviews. 100% delighted with this stop! We were welcomed and enjoyed wine tasting and shopping in the store. This is a great boondocking spot and we are grateful. ❤️
I stayed here one night in early, and, then another in late July, as I was driving up and down the Oregon coast. A good-sized field with fairly level open space to park The store itself has good breakfast and deli options, lots of cheese and a very nice wine bar. During the summer months it's open daily from 8am-8pm. There is free Wifi and nice bathrooms inside the building. Register on the left, just as you enter their front door. This spot is a real treat and its important that we follow their rules so that it remains available.
We stayed 2 night in August and had a very pleasant time. We travel in a 45' Class A with a toad for a total of 67'. No problem navigating the field/parking area with it. There were about 12 families in the field with us the first night and less the second night. The Blue Heron store sells some wonderful items and provides samples of most. Don't miss the Riverhouse Greek Feta dressing - you will change your mind about feta and eating salads! The Tillamook factory is a short drive away. There is a Fred Meyer grocery in town and you can get to the coast in a short drive. There was a tiny bit of road noise during the day, but nothing as loud as the donkey at feeding time in the morning! Really can't say enough about this great free stay. Please do check out the store.
My family and I got here after a very eventful travel day. Perfect overnight stop and my kids had so much fun exploring the farm and looking at the animals. Make sure you stop in and enjoy the samples! We had lunch here and it was delish!
You can’t unhook your vehicle, but that’s to be expected. Such a charming and fun stop, would definitely recommend!
