No office (they stop by to collect fee)
20, 30, 50 amp with excellent water and sewer hookup. All sites back up to very nice creek and a view of the bicycles going down creeper trail.

Great place to stay if your riding the creeper trail. Close to town. Camp is right on the river, a bit noisy because of the river and get 58 across the creek. Good fishing right in the camp. Everything worked with no issues. Dog friendly.

We had a very nice stay here in June 2020. The riverfront site we had was very relaxing and we loved being able to walk into town from the campground. When the campground wasn't full, WiFi was acceptable here. -When it was full, it was only somewhat usable. Even boosted, our ATT and T-Mobile phones got no signal, and Verizon got just 1-2 bars (speed varied between .5 - 2.5Mb/s)
The sites are fairly easy to get into, but a little cramped. However, the river views behind the sites make it worthwhile. The owners were very friendly and attentive here, too.

Some campgrounds serve more as a place to spend the night while visiting nearby attractions than being a camping experience, this is one. The creekside location was wonderful but the sites, by necessity, are close and can be challenging to get into. It is close to the highway but the traffic was minimal during the night. We enjoyed the sound of the water, it added was a plus.
It is a short distance to attractions and dining in town. The Dollar General and a couple of convenience stores are the sources for basic supplies.
There is no on site office but one of the two owners seems to be on call at all times and respond quickly. Verify both their phone numbers when making a reservation and the location of utilities in your site. Site 13B shares a sewer connection and the owners had to loan us hose to reach it. Note there are no restrooms or other common facilities.
We hope to cycle the Virginia Creeper Trail again someday and would stay at Laurel Creek again to do it.

If you are biking/hiking the VA Creeper Trail, this campground is perfect as the trail passes by just few hundred feet outside the entrance. The river nearby is nice at night and seem to mostly drown out the noise of cars on the highway nearby. The sites are pretty small (our fire pit stared right in our neighbor's window) and angled away making pulling out of the site a little difficult. Damascus is in easy walking/biking distance as are several restaurants on Highway 58. The campground wifi worked great for me the whole time and I never had to fall back to using my verizon/at&t hotspots.

Campground needs some TLC (grass/weed cutting, dog poop cleanup, and general sprucing. Location can’t be better with creek adjacent to sites and easy access to town.

I hate to say anything negative about this campground as it really is a nice spot. The manager Pat was very friendly and helpful. The campground is right on the water with beautiful fall colors. It is a short walk into Damascus and right next to the creeper trail. Free firewood. Hookups worked great although we needed to use our electric and sewer hose extensions. The problem is getting into the campground. We have a 39ft 5th wheel. We could not go across the single lane bridge as the back of our rig swings out with turns. There is a steep drive way to go down into the campground. The steep drop and turn caused damage to our tailgate. If we were to do it again, we would go into the exit as it is a more gradual drive.
