“The lake is your backyard!”
This lakefront house on Watauga Lake offers lodging near Boone, North Carolina and Bristol, TN/VA. It will be your headquarters as you and your family explore the Appalachian Mountains and Cherokee National Forest on your weeklong vacation or long weekend getaway. The house has three bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms. The Blue Bathroom has a whirlpool tub for 2 with romantic lighting and a separate steam shower for 2. The house accommodates up to six people sleeping in comfort, more than six if you feel like "roughin' it. We will provide aero beds for a small additional fee for up to 4 extra guests. Please, no more than 10 overnight guests! The septic system can’t handle it. Getting too hot? Slip off the dock into the refreshing waters of Watauga Lake. Although it is a lake in the mountains, the water is not cold. No salt, no waves, no chlorine! Just pure fresh mountain water. After all, Watauga Lake was created by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) when they dammed up the Watauga River back in 1948.
