Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on March 18, 2021The concept behind this RV park is a good one, letting people park to supplement the income of this historical association. But that is where the good stops.
Check in is at the office when staffed or via a card in the night slot. When we arrived, the sign on the door said "RV Park Full". Since we were going to a graduation in the area, we needed to stay somewhere. I popped into the office and found out they did have a spot available. So the proximity of this park to Round Rock is good.
The sites themselves are on gravel. Everyone is tightly packed in. Some sites are 50 amps, some are 30. There is water, but no sewer. I am not sure if there is a dump station on the grounds or not.
The sites themselves are very unattractive. We had on our site a discarded flower pot, a moving dolly, and trashy junk lying about. We were squeezed between an old travel trailer and a school bus under renovation (the owner was living in it with no curtains...we kept our shades down the whole time).
We had 30 amp power that was variable. When the air conditioner was on, it dropped 10 volts. We didn't dare to try the water...we lived off our tanks.
There is no WiFi. There are plenty of OTA television stations out of Austin.
The price and location are the only two things recommending this place. It was uncomfortable having neighbors that close. If you can't put your awning out, you know you are packed in.
If you stay here, Dell Diamond is within walking distance. We had a free afternoon and wandered over to take in a baseball game.
I would avoid this place unless you needed cheap or you needed the location. There must be better alternatives.

Very tight spaces and just a gravel parking lot with old hookups. Look at pictures to get an idea of this place. The surrounding grounds are awesome with lots of trails and ball fields, playground and more. But the RV part is in need of serious help.
Also this is near train tracks.

Pleasant park to stay at. While this is not the most elegant park that we have stayed in it is by far the most laid-back and beautiful park we stayed at. If you are lucky enough to stay in the back row your face approximately 5 acre meadow/farm with beautiful mature trees. A little bit further in the distance is a pen with goats and donkey. During non-Covid times it was a petting zoo for school children to come on a field trip. To the left of the pen you can find a authentic settlers village. The log cabins that were taken down from other parts of Williamson County and reconstructed on this farm.
Water, sewage, and electric are provided for you here. Randy who manages the park is it down to earth man that is pleasant to speak with.
