One of the better campgrounds where we have stayed. The sites are huge with lots of space between them (about 100 feet on one side and 300 feet on the other). Water and electric hookups at the site and a dump station at the entrance to the campground. Concrete pad at the site. ATT has 2 bars and it is 5G. T-Mobile has 3 bars and it is 5G.

We stayed at North Hurricane and drove to Krul just to check out the campground. No pets allowed! Since we have 2 dogs, camping at Krul was not even an option. Besides, we liked North Hurricane better because their sites are further apart from one another.
Water and electric hookups at each site and a dump station available. Plenty of room between the sites. The Florida Trail runs through the campground and across the dam which made for a nice 8 mile out-and-back hike. ATT available in the camper but T-Mobile only available when I walked to the boat ramp. While there we drove through the other 3 campgrounds nearby (South Hurricane, Bear Lake and Krul) - North Hurricane is the best.

The park itself is nice with lots of space however the campground is small and the sites are very close together.

All 107 sites are full hookups with electric (50, 30 & 20), water and sewer. Level sites, concrete patios and plenty of space between sites. The campground is where the town of Greenville used to be located before the residents moved it 2 miles north in 1941 (when the dam was built). There is a memory lane with markers, signs, and pictures showing where the previous buildings were located and a 2 mile paved bike trail that connects Old Greenville (the campground) to the current town of Greenville. Also, the trail signage at the picnic pavilion states that the trail over the bridge and to the lookout is a “future trail” however the trail is there (the signage board need to be updated).

The campground and park have more of 'city park' feel than a state park. None of the sites have river views but it is an easy walk to the historic fort that overlooks the river. The "George Rodgers Clark Discovery Trail" was right behind my site and I wish I had my bike to explore it. This trail is a Rails-to-Trails path that connects the cities of Metropolis and Brookport. The trail's bridge over Massac Creek is currently being replaced but a staff member said it should be finished later this summer (2021).

The campground is very pretty and well maintained. 2 loops: sites 1 thru 18 and sites 19 thru 28. Sites 19 thru 28 are along Tea Creek and seemed to be pretty busy. All sites are spaced out with privacy. Dry camping but with water available to fill jugs. Vault toilets and bear-proof trash bins. No dump station. No cell service. Lots of hiking in the area with 3 trails starting at the campground (in the picnic area). The best hike we took was the Tea Creek trail; about 3 miles along the creek and ended at a shelter for backpackers. Heard an owl and coyotes while sitting around the campfire one evening.

This is definitely a 5-Star campground but don’t let everyone know because we want to keep it for ourselves! There is lots of space between the wooded sites with a picturesque stream separating the 2 rows of campsites. The bathhouse was very clean and easily accessible. There are also hiking trails on site.

Cute little campground right on the water. We only stayed one night. Water and electric hookups plus a dump station. Over-the-air TV reception was great so we were able to watch the Super Bowl.

The park as a whole is what the other reviewers have stated (clean, beautiful, well maintained, etc.) however I was not impressed with the layout of the campground. It was small with very little privacy. The campground is basically a loop and my site was in the middle so I felt like I had campers all around me. The sites on the outside of the loop would have been better. Also, the dump station is right in front of site number 8 (which is the handicap site). The tow vehicle of any long trailer blocks the site’s access while at the dump station.
