One of the best military museums I've seen. Amazing collection of artifacts and personal effects. Don't miss this one WWII and history buffs. See pics I'm adding.
This place is fantastic. Scenic. Fun. Lots going on for adults and kids. It's like escaping to cottage country for a few days. The park circles the lake. Kids water playground is unreal. Small burger and beer place on site. Really fun friendly vibe.
Nice peaceful spot out of the bustle but close to the city. About 20 miles into the historic district. Pretty lake beside the camp with swans everywhere.
Beautiful place. Home to the Helen Keller festival June 26 to 28.
Beautiful park with vast areas to explore. Splurge for the $30 beach side spots if available ;). Calm warm lake for great paddle boarding!! Beautiful wild deer walking about. Nice fire pits too so pick up some wood when you check in.
This KOA is beautiful. I added a few photos. The cover photo of those cabins does no justice to how lovely and peaceful it is here. Country setting close to all the city amenities. Beautiful pool and playground for the kids. Let them run and explore. I could spend a week here and just relax.
This place is a must see for country music fans. It's a tiny little town and a small museum but it's packed with cool stuff. I'm a big King Of The Road fan, and seriously, what road trip is complete without a visit to his birthplace. Check it out.
Possibly the most famous roadside attraction in America. Really cool to see in person. Easy access off I40. Exit by Oasis RV park if you are eastbound. Lots of roadside parking for RVs. Don't miss it!
We've stayed here several times passing through Amarillo. Very easy access from I40. Next door to Cadillac Ranch ;). Big rig friendly. Good wifi. Nice private restrooms with private showers. No screamin hell for scenery but a great base camp overnight.
It's a really nice heavily treed campground. Right next to excellent hiking trails. Very friendly office staff. Great location as a gateway to Grand Canyon or up to southern CO.
