“Celebrating the great Roger Miller”
The Roger Miller Museum is located at the corner of Roger Miller Boulevard (old Route 66) and Sheb Wooley Avenue in downtown Erick, Oklahoma. This historic brick structure (c.1929) was purchased by the Roger Miller Museum Board in the summer of 2002. Through the generosity of members of the Museum Board, Museum members, numerous individual donors, as well as foundation support from the Route 66 Foundation, extensive restoration and renovations were completed and the Museum opened to the public in the summer of 2004.
"Trailers for sale or rent... Rooms to let, 50 cents." The Roger Miller Museum is a neat little pit stop on your trip on Route 66. Your kids may hate you for playing "King of the Road" on repeat for the next 100 miles after your visit, but it'll be create a welcome break from Bieber on your Route 66 road trip.
This place is a must see for country music fans. It's a tiny little town and a small museum but it's packed with cool stuff. I'm a big King Of The Road fan, and seriously, what road trip is complete without a visit to his birthplace. Check it out.
