Parking is fine, but definitely one of the nicest casinos we’ve stayed at!

Pros:
- Very convenient next to I-5
- Loved the selection of higher-end restaurants in the casino! Yes it’s a little pricey as one person mentioned but very high quality food & drink and lots of options! We ate at the Asian restaurant and it was excellent.
- new, beautiful, modern casino
- Security person checks you in, I appreciated having security in the lot. They even offered to call a shuttle to take us to the casino (we opted for the 5 minute walk instead)
- gas station and convenience store right across the way
- strong cell signal, we were able to work in the morning
- Free!

Cons:
- well it’s a free gravel casino parking lot so it is what it is
- lots of highway noise but we slept fine

Felt safe and practically unlimited space. Parked in the lot that was facing the entrance, but the furthest away with two other RVs. Over there you could barely hear the highway. Can also walk to other restaurants in this shopping complex.

This is basically a giant gravel parking lot with a couple of trash cans and makeshift fire pits, but if you park along the fence you can get pretty views. We parked in the top-left hand corner which I think is the best spot in the lot.

Quiet, you can hear the highway a tiny bit but you can’t see it. Some of the dispersed spots in the area would have much more highway noise than here. Got to see cattle roaming around and hear coyotes at night.

Things to be aware of: it can be very windy so don’t put out an awning. Also keep your door closed or so many moths will fly in. Keep an eye out for big rocks and fire pits as you drive in.

The size and ease of access means that any rig of any size can access, so the guaranteed availability is nice. This seems to be getting a bit more popular, we almost always had about 5 or so neighbors here, but there’s so much space so you don’t have to park near each other.

We worked here for the week and had decent speeds on our Verizon hotspot. Our signal did randomly go away one afternoon but I think it was anamoly and there happened to be a tower problem that day.

Can’t get a better spot for visiting Carlsbad Caverns, it’s right by the entrance. About 30 minutes to stores and restaurants in Carlsbad and 30 minutes to Guadalupe NP.

Perfect overnight stop between Las Vegas & San Diego! When you pull off the highway, watch for the gas station & cell tower, it’s the dirt road behind the gas station to the left. Had no problems accessing with our fifth wheel, but didn’t venture too far down the road.

Pros:
Lovely desert views
Lots of sites
Fire pits
Fairly quiet
Perfect cell/LTE signal because it’s next to a tower
Extremely convenient to I-15

Cons:
Lots of illegal dumping here 😕 car parts, glass around, but the sites were pretty clear of the trash
Still next to a highway, so while it was quiet I wouldn’t call it peaceful

Perfect overnight, but wouldn’t stay longer.

Rolled through here for the night on the way to the PNW. 10 mins off the highway. Much quieter and much less crowded than your average Casino lot. Shared a gravel lot with 4 other trailers. RV lot separate from trucks which was nice. Good security presence. We splurged for to go dinner from the Casino’s steak place and it was pretty decent. Borders a grove which is nice, and even has a pet area behind the lot. Verizon cell coverage good.

We liked it here so much that we ended up staying almost two weeks. FCFS sites. The RV sites can fit rigs above 30 feet, but we were surprised how small the dry sites are - most couldn’t even fit a larger van. A dry site was our back up plan but only 1 of them could have really fit our 23ft trailer.

I’m sure Starlink made this spot more popular. Absolutely NO cell signal, but we were getting strong speeds with Starlink (80s down, 20s up).

Nice to be able to walk down to the river. Popular spot for rafters. Definitely check out La Senda del Medio trail, right across the street. It goes between all the campgrounds & had it to ourselves to walk the dog.

25 minute drive to Taos. Check out the wineries & breweries a few minutes south.

Very nice camp host.

Bathrooms were under construction while we were there, but they should be open now.

If you’re good with dry camping without bathhouse access, we were surprised by how quiet the campgrounds further down the road were. The first two are definitely way more popular.

Overall, the best place to stay to visit Taos, as long as you don’t mind a drive into town.

At this campground you can have it all: beautiful views, starry nights, horseback riders, javelinas, & a hiking trail in your backyard. Meanwhile, you also have access to full hookups, wi fi, a pool, laundry, beautiful bath house, and resort amenities, gym, store, and restaurant. It’s amazing that this is the most remote place we’ve ever stayed, but also one of the most comfortable and full-service.

You could get something a little cheaper in Terlingua, but it’s not that much more to stay here and have a first class stay in Big Bend. Our stay was cheaper (39/night) with weekly & AAA discounts.

15-20 minutes to restaurants in Terlingua
30-40 minutes to Big Bend NP gate, 55 to Panther Junction
Right next to the Big Bend Ranch SP entrance

Parts of the park are very parking lot-y, but request a back in site in the back row (the side book ended with 7 & 41) for amazing views & privacy.

One of the most underrated features of this park is its proximity to Big Bend Ranch SP. Don’t miss the opportunity for a scenic drive and hike in this park that is as beautiful as the NP, with far less people.

We chose this RV park primarily so we could continue to work during our visit. Getting good wi fi anywhere in Big Bend is hard but it was workable here. The wi fi is bad when the park is busy, and pretty unusable starting at 4PM daily, when people come back for the night. But we were able to work on the wi fi during the day, it just wasn’t the fastest & very low upload speeds. If it got really bad we had the option of going up to the resort where it was a bit better. We didn’t use our Verizon hotspot as we could sometimes get a little 3G extended network roaming, but no Verizon or LTE.

This campground is the definitions of lush, beautiful, natural Florida! Almost every site is surrounded by gorgeous palms and trees to host your hammock. The campground features nature trails, canoe launching, and of course the picture-perfect historic mill and teal blue spring for swimming is only steps from your campsite. Wonderful proximity to visit other springs in the area like Silver Glen and Silver Springs. It’s not near much else, and there are no hookups, but it’s worth the access to a real Florida camping experience. We stayed in early March and the weather was beautiful. Regularly cleaned bathhouses, on site dump station, and good cell signal for work were enough resources for us. Go grocery shopping before you arrive, not much for good stores or restaurants that we found. We stayed in the tropical loop which was great, but wish we had booked the Sandpine loop, those sites are even more private and beautiful.

We stayed December 16-19. I am a Disney parks superfan so we HAD to visit Fort Wilderness. Now, for those hyping it as the best campground in America...I don't know about that. But if you love Disney it is by far the best deal and best way to stay on property while visiting the parks.

I reserved in May for December and there wasn't tons available, but the customer service worked with me to find some available dates. We paid the highest rates of the year for the Christmas season, but I think it's worth it - and that's coming from folks who usually pay $30/night for camping!

Fort Wilderness is famous for the decorated campsites at Christmas time and let me tell you it is extreme! We could have spent several evenings walking around the campground looking at the lights, inflatables, and even a fully built castle! There is so much Christmas cheer here in December that even people not staying in the campground visit to experience it.

While here, be sure to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the beach one night. I also recommend taking the boat to Wilderness Lodge for some of the fabulous dinners.

The biggest plus to Fort Wilderness is you get the same Disney perks as the normal hotel resorts: magic bands, extra magic hours, an incredible pool, activities, great on-site restaurants - all for the fraction of the cost.

There's probably availability to arrive prior to check in time, we arrived at 10am and were able to go right to our site!

Next time I stay I will request a site closer to settlement, ours was a little too far, and I wasn't willing to splurge for a golf cart like everyone has haha. I would also book so that I have 1-2 days with no parks visits, just enjoying the campground.

Have a magical stay!

We tend to pick state parks but a lot of SPs in this area have short length restrictions to protect the trees. If you have a bigger rig but still want to camp between redwood trees, this is a great choice!

PROS:
- beautiful trees
- full hook up, great value
- nice little amenities like coin op laundry, recycling center, great general store, playground and arcade for kids
- 5 minutes to the beach, 25 minutes to Eureka, 20 minutes to Redwoods NP visitors center in Orick, 1 hr to Humboldt Redwoods SP
- excellent Verizon cell signal, 10 down/2 up

Cons:
- small sites
- some very close together

The low number sites back up to the local road, the high number sites back up to 101 & are noisier. Look up a map in advance. Most campgrounds the pull through are more parking lot-y but I think they’re actually more nature-y here, I would pick a pull through next time.

Very high quality private campground, would return!
