Reviews
We stayed here for two nights and a lot of loud trucks come in at all hours but we were enjoying the casino so we stayed. We were approached by security the first night and told we were free to stay as long as we wanted, if we were using the casino which we did several times a day.
After the second night, the head of security and two more showed up and were extremely rude to us, would not allow us to even talk, cut us off mid sentence while telling us we had two hours to get out. Even when told that we were using the casino and that security had previously okayed us staying, he said we had been lied to and we had to leave immediately.
When asked why we had to leave as we had done nothing wrong, he said he didn’t have to give a reason and threatened to tow our rvs away, call the police, call cps on a woman with kids and call the county on people with dogs saying they’d have to show their papers then and vehicle documents so if we didn’t want that we needed to just get out.
This was completely unprovoked by anything any of us did and he did this to all the older rvs while leaving the big fancier rvs alone.
He was unbelievably rude. I’ve never been talked to like this before over a supposedly free camping spot which we’d already gotten permission for.
This casino is also listed in many free camping listings but I’m here to tell you that they will throw you out for nothing, perhaps because they think you aren’t rich enough to spend the big bucks in their casino. This was blatant discrimination and I advise not giving your business to this casino. Keep on driving!
We stayed 1 night without any of the problems the other reviewer reported. We use casinos frequently as we are traveling from one place to another. BUT, as every casino has different rules, I ALWAYS call ahead to ask: is there a charge, do we need to register or check in with security, and how long of a stay is ok. I was told it was a 24 hour stay at Ilani. This could be what the problem was with the other reviewers situation. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
It's true that the lot had several semi trucks parked. None of them kept their engines running overnight and it was pretty quiet. The lot is quite aways from the casino but they provide a free shuttle that seemed to run often, 3-4 times an hour. The shuttle drivers were friendly and pleasant.
Our biggest disappointment was the restaurants in the casino. All were very expensive. $50 steak dinner for 1 is a bit much for us. There is a food court area that was less and was just ok.
For a quick stopover, given the area doesn't have many choices, this worked well for us and I would stay again
We saw the security come by a few times and they took note of our license plate.
The location is close to the highway and an easy in & out.
About 1/4 mile walk to the casino from the designated RV/Truck area. Lots of truckers pull in all night long. Diesel smells were strong. Security never bothered us. Better than a Wally-Mart but only because there’s only truckers and RVers out here.
It’s a dirt parking lot across the street from a gas station (big rig friendly) short walk to the casino. They are very strict with a security guard checking people in (24/7) and taking personal information and giving you rules (nothing out of the ordinary). Stay is limited to 24 hrs. Perfect stop right off I5 an 1.5hrs from Mt Saint Helens
Parking is fine, but definitely one of the nicest casinos we’ve stayed at!
Pros:
- Very convenient next to I-5
- Loved the selection of higher-end restaurants in the casino! Yes it’s a little pricey as one person mentioned but very high quality food & drink and lots of options! We ate at the Asian restaurant and it was excellent.
- new, beautiful, modern casino
- Security person checks you in, I appreciated having security in the lot. They even offered to call a shuttle to take us to the casino (we opted for the 5 minute walk instead)
- gas station and convenience store right across the way
- strong cell signal, we were able to work in the morning
- Free!
Cons:
- well it’s a free gravel casino parking lot so it is what it is
- lots of highway noise but we slept fine
Currently closed due to COVID-19. Sign says will re-open April 1st.
Hard to complain when its free, and there is security. There is road noise, but we slept fine. We will stay here again.
Great place to overnight in Rv
Gravel lot dusty
Soon to be paved supposedly
Area to walk dogs
Shuttle service to casino
Casino was checking and taking pictures of ID
Thermo scanning people
Handing out masks
Lots of wipes to clean machines
Dividers too
Great stop off I-5 if you’re on your way somewhere. The casino has a security guard watching the lot. A 24 hour Chevron convenience store is across the street. The casino also has a shuttle van to the lot. Mostly trucks parked here but a few RVs.
