I am going to sat “ditto” on the pass reviews. Nice and easy, showers were big and clean. Ordered Pizza (homemade) delivered to your site. 👍…great for overnight. Even had shade trees. Did not have time to check the little town out. Wi-Fi was vg.

The host was friendly...however the park is being fixed up over years of neglect. There is a lot of shade however it took us three try's to get a spot that had water power and sewer. The bath house was clean and neat. If you need to get any grocery items including Ice, you will have to travel 15 miles to find it. Also the camp host drives around armed...he says it is to keep the rift raft out. Again you are out in the middle of the boonies. The real plus was that the wifi was vg and the verizon 5g was 2 bars.

Ok...we came here based on what the last person reviewed wrote. Quite and good wifi.... We found that the road noise was very loud and that the wifi was iffy. So our take on the park is that it is ok for an over night or 2. Sites are close, but some have concrete pads. It is a very large park. Over 100 sites. Staff was friendly and restrooms were clean.

This is a 55 and older. It is only open till mid September. A lot of the sights are booked a year in advance and many of the people have been coming here for years.
Clean well-kept park owned by the city with lots of places to visit during your stay. Nice bathrooms, laundry rooms, gathering patio, green spaces. Visit town, Crested Butte, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Blue Mesa Reservoir.
The only negative is that the outer ring of the park has no shade. Most of these spots are for the daily or weekly renters. The interior tree spots are long term.
Staff is great. Don't speed or you will get spoken too!

The good: Nice and quiet on weekdays...not so on weekends.
Excellent trails right from the park and your camp site.
Close by to other interesting attractions. The Fort, McDonald observatory.
Bad: No cell service period. Rest rooms were iffy and the women's was cold water only.

Easy access, nice clean site, rest rooms and shower very clean. For us this was a shakedown cruise in our renovated 56 Airstream. We were more interested in how the Airstream would work. So we were not concerned with activities or what we could do around the area. I would say that this COE site is more for those who want to kick back and just enjoy being outside without a lot of extra activity . Enjoy the moment!

Every site on the water and well spaced out. Typical COE water and electric with the dump on the way out. Enjoyed the 2 nights there, Close to town so you can stock up on your needs.
The town of Saldo was about 20 miles away and is a Top 10 Texas small town to see.
I am giving it a 3 rating because the public facilities were not very clean and we had a power outage for at least 4 hours. If not for the rest rooms this would be a 4.

If you have anything bigger than a pop up I would not come to camp. The last 10 miles of road are beyond bad. We took our time and everything in our airstream
Was trashed. The other thing we learned is do not put a travel trailer in a multi purpose sight. Tent campers are a different animals...not saying this in a bad way, however because they group the tents more or less around a centralized area,it becomes very busy and noisy. I would do this as a day trip only. The pit toilets were very clean. No cell or wifi.. if you are a tent camper location is great.
We were there 7/14-16. We heard that because of rains that the area was closed as of 7/28.
