We were heading out of Florida and wanted something close to the interstate and full service. We have a 56 vintage airstream, that has a wet bath. Someplace that has a shower is important when over nighting it. We do not even hook up to water or sewer. Use the power and that is it. All sights are pull thru. The club house was clean and the shower rooms clean and comfortable . This place has it all if you want to be a snow bird and stay for an extended period. The only negative is the I-10 noise at time can be loud during daylight hours.

I will echo the other reviews...my only complaint is that they charge by the minute to take a shower...REALLY !

If you go to town (its worth going to) be sure to check out SOUTH MAIN Street. There is Main and then South Main. South is a new development that is retro. so all the buildings there look old, but are new.

We only stayed here because it was close to friends house that lived up top on the hill (mtn.). The owner was very friendly and helped us to our spot. It was on a hill a difficult to get into. However once in it was comfortable and had a nice view. Negatives...no showers, no toilets, no ice, and crappy wifi plus the sewer line was up hill so at the end of the day draining the hose was a PIA. So at 80 $ a night I would go look for something else.

If you want to be close to the city (approx. 5 miles) which we did. Then this place is OK. Stay 6 nights and the 7 night is free. I would say the facilities are on the down ward cycle. The sights are gravel and we had to level approx. 3 inches, Staff is friendly. I have to echo another post that the signage to find this place leaves a lot to be desired. So easy to rectify.There is a fair amount of road noise and the traffic out side the park is terrible. However you are close to everything...food, shop, alcohol, and stores and the National Historic Parks. WIFI so so.

Since we are in a Vintage airstream we try not to use our shower as much as some one who has a full size bath. This park is nice enough for an overnight to stay in. The sites for transit are pull thru and have nice separation with trees. The bathrooms and showers were gross. If you do not need the showers or restroom I would stay here. If you need those, look for some where else. Road noise from I-40 loud.

Excellent spot to stay for the sights and trails around the area. Unfortunately the Gila cliff dwellings where closed due to forest fires. John and his wife the owners are very friendly and even had a saturday night BBQ for anyone staying in the park. Our sight was newly graveled and clean. The neighbors were very friendly and the whole park seemed to be happy people. I can not say enough on how this place is really trying to make the stop over experience easy and enjoyable. This is not "camping" yet it is not "glamping" however you feel real comfortable while there. Would return in a heart beat the next time we are in the area. Side note, we understand that these are new owners and they have been improving the park according to the input the campers are giving them.

Before the negative let’s state the positive. Staff, restrooms grounds and location in proximity to RMNP were all excellent.

Negative…being in the back lot where the majority of the full hook ups are is like being in county fair ground parking lot. Windy, dusty and basically no soul. Sure there are 2 mountain ranges too look at if the parking lot is empty. Wi-Fi and cell service is almost non existent. We don’t stream,just basic web browsing for all trails and Campendium information. The back lot is packed on the weekend and ghost town during the week.

I would stay here again if we could get in the front area where there are trees and not a mile journey to the front.

One other caveat. Our site showed as a pull through. It is not. We had to back in which for us was no big deal. Class A and 5th wheels would have a problem.

Great shade trees...pick your own spot. Owner very helpful, lots of good hiking and go see Dinosaur NM. Flaming gorge is also a must.

The only thing I found a little strange is why would you have showers that you have to pay for. 25 cents for a minute and half.

Not too noisy at night. Daytime more so. WIFI iffy.

This is an Old KOA that was built in the 1960's. That being said even though the sights were very close to each other ....with all the mature trees and the way it is laid out we felt very comfortable and it is a quite park. I am guessing they have 1/2 the sights to yearly and or summer rentals. Easy access to the town and surrounding sights. Steve the camp host is very friendly and helps park everyone that comes in. This is hill country and the camp ground is built into the hill, however there are a lot of big rigs in here. WIFI is mostly good. Having an Airstream means going outside the tin can most of the time to get coverage. Some one mentioned in other reviews the barking dogs...we heard them in the morning, but really not a big deal. This campground is off the main highway and you do hear road noise. Again this did not bother us. I would give them a 5...however the bath and laundry facilities are in need of a serious up grade...clean but very outdated and on there last legs.

This place is all about location. If you like to hunt fish hike and OHV. You can not ask for a better spot. Owners are great and the seasonal people are very friendly. The grounds are maintained and the public facilities are clean. My only complaints are that the sites are to close together and that the road noise is loud. Also the the sites need to have new small gravel on them. The gravel is way to large and when setting down the rugs or chairs the stones make it very hard to level out. If you can get the river view sites. These give you grass at the rear of the back in and give you a little space. Another negative is the town of south fork is really a cross road with very view amenities . You have to drive 15- 30 miles in either direction to any type of major shopping.
