This is a car only rest stop. Overnight parking is not advisable.
Sites were nice, plenty of room for your stuff. Beach is very good. Close to Parry Sound for supplies. Rentals for the lake available. Staff was exceptional.
Showers were very good. Star gazing is something to catch on the beach.

We are glad to have stayed here but I will look for a different option the next time through. It serves it's purpose but it's extremely small and you will only meet the cleaning staff which are great. Gloria in particular.
The washrooms are clean yet to small for private showering. There us a great restaurant nearby called the Shell Store. The rate we paid is messy because we changed sites to get southern exposure and we ended up in a 50 amp site.
The Big Horn mountains need more campgrounds to service the area. It is simply spectacular.

Coming from Canada it felt like the jungle. The growth around the campground is dense and makes for great breaks between sites. We squeezed our 25 footer onto this 20 foot space. Most sites are bigger than they suggest. Bathrooms were nice and showers held up to morning use. The native American statue they have in the brochure is falling apart. The beach is a bit of drive away but very nice - we went to Flagler so that our dog could run on the beach.

We stayed for three nights. Most sites are big. There are some that are for tents only and they can be small.
In the summer the wind would blow mostly away from sites to the other side of the lack. In the fall the wind turns around and can bring strong winds and rain from down south. The hot water in the showers is regulated to run warm at best. One shower building is newer but is still rustic. It is quiet and beautiful at night. Dark, dark skies for star gazing. There was no cell coverage- but I didn't ask if there was a spot where there might be.

This is a worthy stop or stay for just about anyone. We loved the beach, the staff, the fact that our dog could run on the beach, so close the beach.
Bring your own drinking water because theirs is quite salty which is the only reason I gave them only 4 stars.
We were there on our way down to Florida and stayed there on the way back.
In hindsight, we should have skipped Florida and relaxed more here.

This part of Michigan may be a bit tired but there is still lots to do and see, and this campground is a good place to set up your base. Steve is the camp manager who saw us in and out with great warmth. We did not stay for very long but we did get to use the showers. They are tired as well but they are better than squeezing into the one I have in my trailer. Lots of hot water and private. I am sorry for not taking a picture or two.
The sites are grass and gravel. There is a tremendous amount of shade from trees.

There are a number of things that we really liked about this campground.
First of all, the owner, Julie is such a wonderful easy-going person.
Second, the campground is over the top clean.
The sites were literally perfect for our 25 foot trailer and truck. So larger units may have a problem.
The bathrooms are superior to anything that I have ever used on a camping trip. Simply the best.
As a renovator I enjoyed checking out all the features that they installed.
I would have stayed longer but we had to get home.
There is only one drawback to the campground and that it is very close to main road. I slept well just the same.

We had read about this campground from other members of Campendium and we decided to go there ourselves.
It was early June but the weather was just perfect, warm days and cool nights. Every site is waterfront, some a bit better than others. Our site was terrific as Paula wanted to see the sun rise over the water. You can achieve any type of sunrise or sunset as the sites go completely around the ponds. These are big ponds and link up to the chain of lakes and ponds of Saranac Lake region. It is a great paddling area and I recommend checking out St. Regis Outfitters. The mosquitos were abundant but a little smoke from a fire will keep them in check.
No hookups. Fresh water stations everywhere and bath houses well maintained. Showers were overly hot as we seemed to be the only ones using them at the time. Excellent campground and it earned our praise.
