Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on November 03, 2019Made reservations on line through Reserve America. Upon arrival the entrance is right off Route 30, long driveway in and a little rough. The was a passing storm and there was debris and tree's down but the road in was passable. The girls at check in were very nice and helpful as this was my first stop at Meacham Lake in nearly 20 years. The interior roads are very good, was able to find my site and back in with ease. The bathrooms weren't far and they are typical for a state park, nothing fancy, nothing bad. There are no hook ups but I have solar so that's not a problem. The showers are very nice, plenty of hot water. The site are spread out, you can see the next site but they were 20-30 yards away on either side. Great boat launch area, large beach and amphitheater. I was there in mid September, so there wasn't a lot of campers. The weather was great, Meacham Lake is a nice paddle, plus there are lots of other areas to paddle. I will be back.

We stayed for three nights. Most sites are big. There are some that are for tents only and they can be small.
In the summer the wind would blow mostly away from sites to the other side of the lack. In the fall the wind turns around and can bring strong winds and rain from down south. The hot water in the showers is regulated to run warm at best. One shower building is newer but is still rustic. It is quiet and beautiful at night. Dark, dark skies for star gazing. There was no cell coverage- but I didn't ask if there was a spot where there might be.
