Spacious, mostly level sites, in the fort Stanton area. A popular campground for horsemen as half the sites have adjoining corrals and, miles of riding and hiking trails. All sites are first come, first to be served and, several have picnic tables and fire rings. Four miles west to Capitan for most any supplies needed and, a couple restaurants that don’t disappoint. Quiet and peaceful nights. Thank you, Fort Stanton. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

Ruidoso is amazing in July, excellent hiking trails, horse racing, shopping, among numerous outdoor options. If you value quiet time at night and early morning, this is not the rv park for you. The relentless noise is a deal breaker for me.

Small park right in the middle of town. Walking distance to anything Capitan, several decent restaurants, Smokey bear market, laundromat next door. Friendly and accommodating owners. Odd layout but, no complaints. Nice to spend a summer in the mountains. Thanks Capitan.

Price is now $30 but, pull thru level site. Much needed after dry camping the past 7 days. The museum is a must if you’re a fan of western history, gravesite is also worth visiting as the headstone has been stolen twice. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

I hiked to the top of several of the peaks today and found a really cool staff and, realized the cows here are part mountain goat. A number of very good historical sites to experience for here. The road is 3 miles unpaved but, well maintained driving a samurai. I’m driving ms Lazy to the next adventure.

Nice clean park in arenas, 3 miles east of silver city. I visited the area to hike the continental divide and, the Gila Cliff dwellings. Many options, with no disappointing days hiking. The hookups for site 23 are at the front instead of the rear ( long sewer hose required). I chose to head in. No complaints, just noteworthy. Watch for the police, I never went into town that someone wasn’t pulled over. I’m driving ms lazy to the next adventure.

Level concrete pad sites in the country 3 miles south of Gilmer with, 3 ponds, club house, pool, and small laundry room. Mostly long term rv’s and, a dozen one or two bedroom cabins. Owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. Gilmer has a Walmart and brookshire’s for groceries and supplies. Wi-Fi is a coin flip. I’ve stayed here several times as I have family in the area with no complaints.
