huge campground. very nice and clean and busy but there are no showers.
Favorite hostel i went to on my roadtrip. Its definitely the typical hostel experience that you get. its in a great location, its super social and packed full of travelers. They had free dinner 3 times a week and they dont half ass it either. also a big free breakfast. the staff was wonderful and the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. I hope to go back soon.
This hostel freaks me out. Its literally a hotel with dorm rooms. the front desk is like that of a hotel, its as HUGE as a hotel and as quiet as a hotel. there were lots of older people staying here and kids. Its not very social because of its size i think. at least the whole place is very clean. each floor has its own kitchen so there is enough room in the fridge for your things which can be hard time find sometimes. I wouldn't go back, i like most social hostels.
Lovely hostel. The room was like a hotel, the shower was so big i didnt know what to do. Its in a really cool neighborhood, wickerpark/buctown so there is lots to see there. night life is good there as well. it is kinda far from downtown though but this area is in its own. They had a really great breakfast but you actually have to wake up early if you want any to be left. I would come again for sure.
its a typical hostel. Rooftop patio was super cool and alcohol is allowed. Staff was very friendly! The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean. The location is alright. Not too far of a walk to the monuments. I was there during the week and only for a night but it seems like its typically a very social hostel. They have a free pancake breakfast but you will have to bring your own syrup!
Super nice building, but it kinda feels like you are in someones loft apartment. its one big open room....there are no doors separating the showers or bedrooms from the rest of the place. so you can hear people making breakfast bright and early. The lack of privacy was a problem for me. There is also no alcohol allowed. the staff were mostly rude except for one woman. at least the kitchen appliances and things were nice. Its just a very quiet hostel, good place to go if you have kids with you i guess. Location is good.
Very nice brand new facility. Staff was okay. Where the rooms are seems like a hospital honestly but the private showers is awesome. Very social in the downstairs communal area. Fun place to stay. Only beer and wine allowed though. Great location. walking distance to everything.
Oddly nice hotel. For the price we payed i was expecting something way worse. All the staff is young and very friendly. I'm pretty sure we stayed in the cheapest room and it was still very nice, clean and new. the bed was AMAZING. You can walk to the french quarter from there with no problem and the neighborhood it is in is nice too but less populated.
The campground host is wonderful! the camp site is very cozy and off the road enough. free showers and a clean bathroom. =]
