Cascades RV Resort is relatively new and still under construction.

Each site is paved and has a turf lawn and rock "yard". There is no privacy between sites.

There is coin-operated laundry and free showers.

There is a fully fenced dog area as well as waste bag/trash stands throughout the park.

It is right off Highway 2 but there is not too much traffic noise. You can hear the train in the distance.

There is free wifi available.

The sign does say for campground guests only.

We were visiting the national park just staying elsewhere so we opted to pay the $5 and dump since we were already there.

There are envelopes and a drop box for dump fees at the Nature Center.

The area is very lovely and not too far of a drive into town. We found a spot just off the paved road at forest road 45540 which is at the top of a little hill. The spot we were in and the adjacent one could fit a larger rig and there were two larger spots right off the paved road before getting to ours. There are many spots for cars and smaller rigs.

The main road is paved but the forest roads leaving it are all dirt as are the camping spots. Some of the areas are really rough while others are relatively flat.

We had no issues with other people but someone staying down the road said they had a generator stolen so be sure to keep things locked up if you leave. There is quite a bit of broken glass and litter around.

Overall Verizon has good service but it would periodically go out for about half a day over a three-day period but this may have been due to a winter storm.

Most campsites are spacious with a decent amount of privacy. The staff is really friendly. Be sure to read the fine print; they charge $10 to dump even if you stay there and will charge for any rule-breaking. Their free wifi is very limited, but you can opt to pay for more (not sure of the price). They offer coin showers and laundry. Since it is right along the highway, there is traffic noise but it dies down at night. What makes this place worth staying at is the location. If you are into hiking, biking, or climbing, it is worth it.

This campground is part of the Thousand Trails network. We are members so we do not pay a nightly fee the above rate is an estimation for non-members.

The campground is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Would be a great family vacation spot with many activities available.

Cell phone coverage is excellent at the lodge and the nearby sites but becomes more spotty the further out you get.

The campground is quiet, no kids around but it may get busier in the summer. The facilities are nice. Nice lake shore area with a dock.

We stayed for two weeks in October. The weather was great, and the campground was almost empty except for long-term residents and a few weekend campers.

We arrived around 3pm and the office was closed, so we called the number provided. It took a few minutes before someone arrived to check us in.

The sites are grassy with shade trees but no privacy.

The restroom and laundry are clean.

Overall the campground is as nice as most Thousand Trails. There is no cell coverage in the campground. Free wifi is available at the lodge and you can pay to have wifi at your site but it is not reliable.

We have a TT camping pass so do not pay a nightly fee.

The sites themselves are nothing special, no privacy or grass, just a cement parking spot with a gravel patio. The facilities are very clean and the clubhouse/ gym seems newly remodeled. There are three small fenced dog potty areas. On the south end of the park near the RV storage lot are some informal trails with a sign saying off-leash area. There is also an outdoor dogwash station.

We stayed for two weeks in October. The fall colors and the lake are gorgeous.
We originally were in site 44, but the noise from I-90 was annoying, so we moved sites. The quietest sites are 27-36.
The sites are paved with designated tent pads. There is a little bit of undergrowth around the sites, but it does not over a lot of privacy.
The area is forested, so StarLink does not work well.
