This is one of the better KOA's. From the time you arrive, the staff is there to greet you at the entrance gate with a welcome and instructions. Then, the staff in the office is very nice, and they spent a good amount of time telling us about the facility and about things to do in the area. After that, we were escorted to our site and assisted into our spot. There were a lot of staff members working at the park, and they were all very helpful and friendly. The park itself is well maintained. It is very clean. The bathrooms and showers were so clean that it seemed like they were cleaned hourly. There are nice shade trees by a lot of the spaces, especially around the perimeter. The laundry was very clean, reasonably priced, and most of the machines worked. There is a lot to do for the kids. The Verizon cell coverage was strong enough to stream video most of the time except when the park was at capacity.

This is a top-of-the-line RV resort. All of the spaces are cement paved with full hookups. There are a lot of people spend many months at this resort because it is so nice. The rigs that you will see are very nice, nothing is run down. Many high-end motorhomes here. They can accomodate all sizes. There are a lot of activities here like pickleball, pools table, pingpong, etc. They also have two very nice pools and spas. The laundry facility is very nice and clean as are the bathrooms and showers. There is no detail left unconsidered. It is one of the nicest rv resorts that I have ever seen.

We stayed here as part of a rally and it was exceptional. The sites are tree lined and most are spacious. All of the sites vary in size, so it's important to review the site sizes to make sure that your RV will fit. There is a very large picnic area with many picnic tables. Also, the trails surrounding the campground offer a variety of terrain and all are scenic. What is best is the proximity to Watson Lake which is great for kayaking. We had a great time and will be back. The manager, Jason, was great to work with.

This campground was one of the best we have ever stayed. The sites are far apart and interspaced among the trees. At night, it is VERY quiet. We saw deer and wild turkeys roaming through the site in the mornings. There was only electric hookup, but the showers and bathroom facility were close by and very clean. The camp hosts were exceptional! They stopped by from time-to-time to check on us and to make sure we were pleased with our stay. One thing to note is that there is no dump site in the area. The closest one is about 12 miles away. Verizon signal was good and we were able to stream video. Overall, we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

This campground was an unexpected gem. There are two camping areas: the Lakeview Campground which was built in the 1960's and the Cottonwood Campground that was built around 2006. There is a noticeable difference. If you can, grab a spot in the Cottonwood area since that is the nicer area. All of the RV spaces in this area are cement pads and most are large enough to fit large motorhomes or 30+ foot trailers plus tow vehicle. The full hookups are all located conveniently on a tower next to the cement. A picnic table and fire pit are also provided at each site. There was good distance between sites separated by grass. There are some trees, but don't count on them for much shade during the day. The sites on the outermost rim (245-261) are surrounded by dirt. All other sites in Cottonwood have grass. Sites 226-229 are probably considered the best sites. This is a very dog-friendly and kid-friendly campground. It also seemed to be very well patrolled by the park staff. They were very effective with a guest that was playing music too loud. The camp store was well stocked with all of the essentials found at most camp stores. The Verizon cell service was good enough to stream Netflix and YouTube without buffering. When staying here, be on the lookout for a few skunks that come out at sunset. If you are looking for a good hike, I recommend hiking to the top of Mt Rubidoux which is a short drive to the base. From the top, you'll be able to see the campground.

This campground was nestled in the trees with a lot of space between sites. The hookups worked well, and the dump station was clean and very accessible. All of the spaces were easy to get into, with parking on gravel, plenty of room for the tow vehicle, and a picnic table provided. We experienced a heavy rain one night, and everything drained very well.

The location being on the water makes for this a great place to camp. However, in reality, it is a modified parking lot with hook ups. That's ok as long as you understand that it is with a water view. All of the spaces with a #16 as is 13-15. Just avoid 10, 10A, and anything along the large hanger. Site 10 has the entrance to the park on one side, and the sidewalk to the beach on the other. It's a traffic zone. Very weird place to have an RV site.

The staff was VERY nice and very accommodating. It is walking distance to a nice beach area and a lighthouse. Be aware that getting to this park is challenging but doable. You need to drive through downtown Salem with narrow roads and some tight turns. It is worth the effort.
