Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 28, 2019This is a beautifully wooded National Forest campground with recently upgraded sites, amenities and roads. some parts of the park are still under construction. Nice, helpful camp hosts. Nightly rate is $24 plus $12 for water and electric (30A). No dump station at this time but local waste treatment plant allows you to dump Mon-Fri 10a-3p for $10.

As we were backing into site 100 a ranger drove by and told us to check out site 168 before we committed because it’s right on the water and he couldn’t believe it’s available. We headed down the dead end birch lane and we’re like yep we’ll take it. The sign said no rvs but every loop that said it had rv’s so not sure if they will remove those signs once they finish with construction and reservations are happening again. Showers not operational when we were there but the flush toilets were very clean. Normal price is $24/night, half off for access pass. Every site wooded and spacious. The only sites that weren’t private were the hookup sites. Overall great campground with an easy drive to the Mt Washington auto road and lots of hiking.

This is a great spot near Mount Washington. We even had a view of Imp Mountain from our site 119. The site we were in was just an open field with no water or electric. There were some sites that had water and electric and I think I heard there were some full hookups, but all were booked. Campground is under construction so hopefully they will add more facilities. The bathrooms were immaculate. Showers were coin operated.

Staying here was not the plan but it worked out very well due to its proximity to MtWashington and points North. I am normally a boondocker so the closeness of camping neighbors was a suprise. However I did score one of the best sites here, right along the river. Traffic noise from rt 16 was disappointing but hiking trails right from camp were awesome, including a trail up MtWashington. The campground is being updated and man it looks nice! The roads are all paved, bathrooms in top shape and plentiful! ....i wish I had realized there were showers before my last day. 😳 Verizon showed 2bars 3G but was basically useless. I managed to get ‘some’ texts. The stars were bright and campers quiet! Id def stay here again.

We ended up staying longer because it was such a nice place to camp. Good hiking. We discovered a big beaver pond in the woods behind our campsite. More than half of the campground was being updated. Our site had fresh gravel and a nice lawn. It was a big site but we can't remember the number on the backside of the B loop. Service was strong with WeBoost.

This is an impeccably maintained campground with a park like setting. You can have you pick of private settings with lots of shade or sites in a meadow with lots of sun and few or no trees separating the sites. The staff is super nice and helpful. I've never seen such clean restrooms in a campground, all with flush toilets.
There were only two issues detracted from the campground. The Verizon cell service is reported by others seems to have completely disappeared. We got no signal at all with both an iPhone 13 and an older iPhone 6. Occasionally, one bar would appear momentarily, but never enough to make or receive a call or text. We had to drive a few miles to the nearby ski resort to get a signal.
The other issue was highway noise. The campground was very quiet on the part of the campers; however, there is somehighway noise that goes on into the night. It's not a big deal, but it led to 4 stars instead of 5.

This campground was nestled in the trees with a lot of space between sites. The hookups worked well, and the dump station was clean and very accessible. All of the spaces were easy to get into, with parking on gravel, plenty of room for the tow vehicle, and a picnic table provided. We experienced a heavy rain one night, and everything drained very well.

Convenient location- only a 5-10 minute drive to many WMNF trailheads. We were camped at a water/electric site along the edge of Hayes Field. While the other areas of the campground had nice private sites in the woods this one was a little more in the open but that was okay with us. The bathhouse was clean but has no showers. No Verizon signal whatsoever.

Used this site as a base to explore the many waterfalls and notches along the Kancamagus Hwy. I was attracted to this camp because it had an open field with lots of sky, which is good for solar and Starlink. Dumpsite available and good potable water. The place was packed over Labor Day weekend, then almost completely emptied. Showers are $2.50 with hot water and clean facilities. Bathrooms are cleaned daily. Price is $27 w/o electricity and $40 with power and water. Of course, senior pass gives you 50% discount.
No cell service. Starlink solves this problem. There is a sign for Dolly Copp picnic area with a confusing sign to campground. Do not turn here, continue another mile to the 2nd sign/turnoff. This takes you to the campground.
I would certainly camp here again.
