Quiet and nice overall, a bit of highway noise but not bad. Free parking at the top of the parking lot if you don’t need hookups. $25 for electric only. Nice spot to stay to see Deadwood. Trolley to/from Deadwood comes by at 5 min after each hour if you want to go into Deadwood. Verizon cell service at the top/back of the lot was 3 bars once we sat for awhile. Still seemed to lag a bit, but we were able to set up our starlink here.

We’re in a camper van but there are other big rigs here too. Will stay here again when passing through.

We stayed here while passing through. Clean lot, signs to RV parking we’re helpful. Very quiet overnight. Level parking. Was one of about 5-6 rigs/vans.

Stayed here on/off over a couple of weeks end of March/early April. Wood gathering/hauling was in full effect. All trucks were private passengers except one eighteen wheeler pulling out a piece of equipment. Stayed back off the road about 50ft. Trucks kicked up some dust, but traffic wasn’t constant. Dispersed camping is about 1.5 miles from Red Canyon Campground. Cell service was good. Worked remote from this location. Oh, site had some glass and some other small trash. Have picked up what we could where we could.

Found a nice level spot easily, there were plenty of other RVs/rigs but didn’t feel cramped for us. There was trash down in the washes and some of the fire pits that we saw. Our phones kept going into SOS mode here with the occasional flicker of one bar LTE. Otherwise, it was a quiet and peaceful night minus a little road noise from the highway but that didn’t bother us.

Stayed here for a few nights after we unexpectedly found ourselves in the area. Not many other spots around here feel safe to stay or easy to stay without a hassle. This RV Park has security that patrols through regularly which eased our minds. No more dry camping allowed, but we were able to do reservations online and get the "web" rate which was cheaper than the first night we came through and paid inside the hotel after hours. We selected a 40ft back in site (space 32) which worked well for us. Close to the walking path, equal walking distance to the dog park/office/showers & laundry. Short walk to the casino.

Nice on demand hot water showers, but in the women's only two of them were "hot" to my standards. The other two I would consider warm showers, so if you want a hot one, check the temp first in the stall you've selected.

Has two small dog park areas and they are small with a very low fence, but hey, it works. Has doggie doo bags and receptacles.

The laundry room is nice and clean, $3 to wash, $3 to dry (which is kinda expensive on the drying side). Office has some items if you forgot anything, ice and propane as well. No firewood as there aren't any fire pits here.

Right on the water, nice places to walk around the RV park and casino.

We are in a new sprinter camper van but got some really weird looks and vibes in this town and saw that they are really cracking down on a camper & homeless problem here. Even in a newer clean van and patronizing some of the businesses and restaurants in the area, we had a handful of people at Walmart point at us and not in a friendly way (while we were grocery shopping). Additionally, there is a fair amount of homelessness and crime seems to be high in the area, so for us, this felt like a safe place to stay where we wouldn't be hassled.

As this is right off the 101, there is quite a bit of road noise, but besides that, we had a quiet experience.

Campground is very clean, we couldn’t even find four rocks to use for the corners of our outdoor blanket (unless we went into the wash). Shower facilities and bathrooms were nice and clean with flush toilets and warm to hot showers.

A lot of movement and activity here during the day between other campers, staff and the park rangers patrolling.

We thought the off leash dog beach would be better as it’s not really a beach, but a muddy watering hole next the boat ramp. Also, the dynamic is weird as the hiking trail comes through the dog park so you have hikers coming through with hiking poles, leashed dogs and children. The first set of hikers caught us (and our dog) off guard as we didn’t realize/see this on the map (or expect it to be this way for anyone used to normal off leash dog parks/areas). Still happy to have an area to throw the ball for our dog, but just a note to other dog owners.

Would stay here again.
