We drove back up North and found Lone Tree to be very accessible and a large enough spot so that we could camp next to our friends. It might be a bit hard to find a level spot if you arrive late but you'll find space.
You'll be greeted by a very nice host and he'll let you choose your own spot (or suggest a spot to you). Drive slowly in the area because you could hit some surprisingly nasty holes.
We didn't hear too much of the highway noise at night and most people around were really respectful using their generator until maybe 8pm.
We got the OK to dump gray water but be considerate to your neighbours making sure it does not drain in their doorsteps.
Verizon LTE signal was good using our booster.
Overall a great spot for a night or two if you want to be close to town for events.
But I'm sure it gets even more crowded on big events so be there before dawn!

Free BLM camping, we stayed in a 37ft moho. Noticed alot of one nighters, best to arrive early afternoon. Great spot to hang for a while, tents, Vans, trailers and mohos. Would stay again nice views with some road noise.

We had a great time camping at Lone Tree BLM. Easy access to Lake Havasu City. Great bike riding in town, fun Spring Break atmosphere. While in town, we kayaked to California, LOL. Just across the lake at a narrow spot. We also did a fun day trip up Route 66 to the small town of Oatman, AZ.

We enjoyed kicking back at Lone Tree before heading to Lake Havasu, Parker and 29 Palms. We found a site on the edge of the main camping area, otherwise, we would have had neighbors on either side of us.
We could hear a lot of generator noise from our site so would not have enjoyed being any closer to the main camping area.
It's conveniently close to highway 95, but not close enough to be bothered by road traffic noise.

EDIT: added a drone shot for big picture.
We had strong winds that were rocking out pop up camper. We planned on just passing through and spent only one night. Arrived at sunset and about 20 other campers, cars and RVs, but plenty of space.
Close to the Lake, California, Oatman, and freeways.
Gravel everywhere and lots of fire pits set up from previous people, some with wood.
We did hear some generator noise, but they all turned off around 9pm.
Waking up is beautiful desert views with mountains!
As a side note, Oatman is really a fun old west town and has wild burros all over the place.

Got here late at night just to find a place to sleep for the night as i was driving stright thru from California to Flagstaff. It was easy to get too and lots of space. I was able to find a spot away from others then set up a tent for the night. The highway is not far and you may hear the occasional big rig drive thru but it was not bad at all in terms of noise.

Arrived here at about 1:00 pm on a Saturday. Plenty of spots although there were 20-25 other RVs already there. A dozen others came while we were there for the night, and there is an overflow lot on the left if your rig can handle minor off roading and a slope downward to that lot. Our tiny house can’t do anything too crazy, but we made it in and to a rather level spot for the night, and we were able to pull out in the morning without any issues. There was a small party with a big bonfire going throuout the evening and into the early morning in the upper part of the lot. The beautiful sunset and sunrise made up for the fact that we collected a few handlfulls of glass near our rig once we got there and setup. All and all good place for a stop on your way through.

We arrived early afternoon and had no trouble finding a spot that was level. There were around 60 rv's, tents, campers, 5th wheels, and van conversations. There is a Site Host. I don't know if you need to sign in anywhere, as we did not, the site host waved as we past. The stay limit is 14 days. I have spent my time here walking, collecting rocks, and doing some light hiking.
This is an excellent location to stay and head into Lake Havasu City.
Even with the wind blowing at 12 mph there isn't any dust. I'd recommend if you're going to be walking or hiking to have appropriate hiking shoes as it is very rocky and the sloops are steep, but worth doing.

Stunning place, too bad the power lines obstructed the epic view. We even saw a herd of wild burrows here. Really kind people, very clean.

This is a nice area close to route 95. Some road traffic - but not bad. Close to town.
About a dozen campers here - host was nice.
* Host had a dog run out and great me (off leash) - my dog (from inside the bus) was reacting. I explained my dog was a little dominant. He said his was the same - needed to assert dominance but played nicely.
Returning to bus, their dog followed me a bit - the wife came out and I stopped - waiting for their dog to go back to them - and my dog settle - she said “He’s a service dog” - and sure enough it had a faded Service Dog best. But this was no service dog - at best it was an emotional support dog. A service dog would not be running over to people and follow other people. Nor would it be dominating or reactive to other dogs. So many people try to pass their dog off as a legitimate Service Dog - and that is not right.
All pets are pretty much emotional support animals, but not a service dog - with specific training to help someone. Shame.
Other than that, nice place - areas of trash were sad to see. I wish people would take their trash out with them.
