Great location. Very close to the Gig Harbor points of interest. The amenities here all seem new and the staff is helpful. Two unique features we appreciated are the app-based laundry that tells you when your laundry is done and the dog washing station. We are on the tail end of a long road trip and our dog was in need of a bath after swimming in lakes, hiking, etc. This campground has a dog-washing station like you would find at a groomer with a dog shampoo dispensing station beside it. We did not know about this before we booked the site, but it was a nice surprise!

Nice military campground. The RV sites are spacious and the park is heavily wooded so there is a lot of shade and privacy. It is located on the bank of American lake and some sites have access to the lake, but there is no public beach access point at the campground. The staff here was friendly and helpful, when the front office is closed, there is a camp host who can help with any concerns you have. My only complaint is the laundry facilities are in need of repair/replacement. There are two buildings with four dryers each, at one point during our stay the campground was down to 2 of 8 working dryers. They have since fixed several of the broken dryers, but I understand from talking to other guests this has been on ongoing issues. Other than this one issue it has been a really nice stay and we will definitely be back.

Nice military campground on JBLM. There are plenty of spacious sites in a shady forest. Sites with hookups can be reserved and dry sites are available on a first come, first served basis. We stayed at a dry site for a weekend, so the shade trees were nice. Fresh water and a dump station were available on site. The only downside to staying on an Air Force base was getting woken up by aircraft on the nearby airfield! Access is limited since it is on a military base.

This campground is a hidden gem. We took a cross-country road trip from NY to WA and this was our favorite campground we stayed at. It is a small and quiet campground by a lake, one section of sites is directly on the beach. It has a nice swimming area and trails for walking/running/hiking. It is on a military base so it is limited access. Check the website for details.

This RV park was so clean/manicured it felt more like a suburban neighborhood with a really strict HOA than an RV campground! It was spotless and all facilities were very new and well-taken care of. The staff was friendly and gave us lots of materials about the area.

We had a very nice stay here. The sites are large pull-through sites on gravel with grass. We had plenty of space and the other guests were friendly. The staff was very helpful and offered us recommendations on a local business to help with a tire repair. We appreciated the walking trail and the incredible mountain views.

This was our favorite public campground we visited on our cross-country road trip. The staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to explain everything the campground had to offer as well as local attractions. One unique feature was this campground had a food truck (a great idea that I don't know why other campgrounds don't do!). The sites were spacious, level, and grassy and there were large mature shade trees over the whole park. We appreciated the playground and dog exercise area. Another unique feature was a trail down to the Yellowstone river. I don't know if we will pass through this way again, but if we do, we will be sure to visit again!

Conveniently located campground near Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the town of Medora. The sites were small as others have noted, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us get backed into our spot and they were responsive to concerns we had. Cool scenery (rock formations) and we appreciated the local ice cream in the campground office.

This was one of our favorite campground on our cross-country road trip. The campground was nice with spacious sites and trees for shade. The staff has done a really good job of adding nice amenities to the campground. There is a walking trail around the whole campground that includes a "canopy walk" under a tunnel of trees and nice spots to watch the sunset. There is also a huge off-leash dog park. What we appreciated most was how friendly the staff were. They were helpful when we checked in but they also spent time walking around the campground just talking to guests.

Conveniently located and nicely wooded campground. We only stayed for one night but it was a pleasant stay.
