We actually went past the campground (no spots available) and boondocked but did look at the campground for future visits. Clean vaulted bathrooms, large RVs no problem, trail to the lake and lots of trees. We met the camp host who was very helpful and friendly. No electricity or sewer but very beautiful and relaxing.

We stayed in the meadow past the campground and it was great. Free camping! When you get to the campground entrance, turn left and veer to the right at the fork. You will cross a shallow creek. We made it easily with our 32' Fleetwood Bounder plus 2 other RVs. There was plenty of room for all of us. Fire pits at both places. The lake was very close and fishing was great (stocked)! We caught rainbow, tiger and brown trout. You can go on the lake with a canoe, kayak or small watercraft or just fish off the shore. Many trails to use your bike or ATV. Great cell service (AT&T). It's higher elevation so it was much cooler (even in June!) so bring warm clothing just in case.

The campground is a good base for exploring the area. Bryce Canyon is a few minutes away, many hiking trails. Ruby's Inn is also close. There is a grocery store to get supplies, gas station and RV dump. We went to Ebeneezer's Barn and Grill to see a country western band, The Bryce Canyon Wranglers, they were fantastic. Overall, a great stay and we will be coming back.

We stayed 2 nights here after staying at Pine Lake down the road. Check in went great and good hosts.
Perfect spot to explore Bryce Canyon and surrounding areas. Easy to get in/out and level pads. Try to stay in a pull through if larger RV. Full hook-ups, nice shower, grocery store for supplies, Ruby Diner, gas station across the street and heated pool. There is a shuttle station right in front of the park that will take you into Bryce. Many hiking trails, visitor center and general store in Bryce. It snowed a little (even in June!) so bring warm clothing just in case. Our 2 dogs were comfortable there. Good cell service if you need to get online or work. There are even Tee Pees to rent!

Sites 27-29 are great. We were in 27. We had full hookup. Check in was easy and camp hosts (Mark & Carolyn) were very engaging and helpful. We had a great view of the lake on one side and the mountains on the other side. Lots of waterspouts and fishing. Rentals of jet skis, paddle boards and boats are available if you don’t want to bring yours. We drove around the lake and found spots you can drive up to the lake. There is primitive camping also. We had my wife’s aunt and uncle drive up from Vegas and joined us for afternoon steaks! Definitely will be back again.

This is a great spot if you don't mind boondocking and can't get into the Valley of Fire campgrounds (Atlatl Rock or Arch Rock campground). Just keep going east out to Lake Mead entrance on Hwy 167 and head south. There is a sign for Stewarts Point on your left about 6 miles past the entrance. We camped 3 days. As others have reviewed, the road can be rough but we made it easily with our 32ft Class A. Just take it slow. Saw many large Class A and TTs. Very large area with many spots to choose from, very spread out. Strongly suggest you unhook at the pit toilet, drive your tow car and check out a spot you can drive to with your rig. We found a spot/overlook right next to the lake. Existing fire pits everywhere. Lots of room for the dogs. Several places to go fishing (Stripers/Catfish) or launch your kayak. Otherwise just a peaceful view of the lake, nighttime stars, short walks or ride your bike. We had clear skies and the moon lit up the area. We heard that it can be windy but there was no wind the first 2 days. Check the forecast before you come out. Not bad cell service. There are some burros roaming around so you have their "gifts" to deal with but not too bad. There is no dump or water but you can go south to Echo Bay campground or back to Valley of Fire and use the dump and water for free.

We decided to come here and check out Capitol Reef in the winter. Glad we did! $10 with senior pass. Fruita Campground is very peaceful with awesome views and lots of sites. Large herd of deer roaming the campsite. Because it is winter, there very few campers and mostly overnighters. No hookups so dry camping but paved sites. No need for lift pads. Each site has a fire ring and table. There is a dump to empty your tanks and potable water for refill. Restrooms were clean with flush toilets. We stayed in the B loop on the far end to run our generator before quiet time which is 8pm to 6am. Only loop A and B were open. C was blocked off. There was a travel trailer camper running his small generator a few spaces from us. Word of advice, if you see a motor home or travel trailer in an empty campground, chances are they will run their generator. So find a spot away from them. For some reason a couple of tent campers decided to set up right next us. There were many other spots for them to choose away from us so I didn't feel bad for them. There is a river right next to the campground and trails that leads to a vista and Indian rock art. We biked on the road to the visitor center. On the way you can visit the Fruita orchards, the Gifford house, old blacksmith shop and school house. 8 Mormon families homesteaded here and farmed apricots, peaches and apples which you can pick in the summer. From the campground is the scenic road which we drove in our Class A with no problems. Very cool to see Capitol Reef in the winter. We will be back in the summer.

With the petrified forest onsite, this is usually a great place to camp and makes for a good base for day hikes to the various nearby slot canyons and points of interest. As of January 2021, the visitor center is under construction, making this undesirable at this time. I’m sure it will be terrific in the future.

Stayed here for Mothers Day week, 5 days Came up north on Hwy 93 through the town of Panaca founded in 1864. Easy paved road in to the RV camp. You can also come down south on 93 through Pioche and head in from there. Full hook ups at upper camp. Across the lake is the campground that can also do RVs but more for tent campers or Class B campers. We stayed at the upper camp in site #1. $10 per night with state parks pass or $25. We wanted this site because it was close to the trail that leads down to the lake. Awesome fishing! Rainbow and Brown Trout, Brown Bass and Crappie. Pretty good sizes, good for meals. My son, his wife and I caught our limit each day. You can fish from the shore or bring a small boat.

20 full hookup sites. Scout out the sites. Some of the hook-ups place your right side RV door on the road side. Several sites were available when we arrived on a Thursday. Each site has good water, electricity and sewer. Sites are spaced out nicely. 30amp or 50 amp with some 20 amp circuits. This came in handy with our portable Traeger smoker! My wife made us eggs and smoked trout for breakfast! Restrooms are flush toilets and very clean. Fire rings and covered tables for outside dinning. Rangers are very nice and accommodating. No camp host. Days were nice and sunny. Nights were great for star gazing!. Cell service was very good. I had a video conference call that I made easily. It was a very pleasant stay. We will be back again!

Up the road from the lake leads you to Eagle Valley Reservoir and campsite as well as Eagle Valley Resort. No hook-ups or sewer but water at each site. There is a dump station. I heard there is good fishing there also.

We decided to do a winter trip in Utah and started at this campground. Great find. Right off Hwy 70 so a little noise but not bothersome or frequent. Camp Host Ken was great. He's been in the area for 8 years. Gave us great insight on the area and where to go. There are other campgrounds in the area but this had hookups and the wifey wanted the furnace which was a good idea. It got down to 19 degrees at night. There was bits of snow everywhere. Site 2 is a pull through and the other 6 are backup sites. Fire ring and camp table. Lots of room for the dogs to explore. There are also cabins and a replica pit house you can rent. Pit Houses were the Fremont Indians dwellings built into the ground and completely covered in dirt with a entry on top with a ladder. Bathrooms were heated with flush toilets. We stopped in to the visitor center and paid for our site. The visitor center has an excellent museum and gifts to purchase. Lots of trails to explore either on foot, bicycle or ATV. Right next to the visitor center is a paved trail that shows incredible Indian rock art from that dates as far back as 3,000 years ago. We hiked from the parking lot and back to down to visitor center. From the campground is a trail that had snow on the trail. It lead to more rock art! The night sky was clear and the stars put on a show. Not much cell coverage at the campground. Definitely coming back in the summer to explore the other trails!

Went to Boulder Beach, campground was full. Camp host told us to drive down to Las Vegas Bay. It is about 9 miles from Boulder Beach. Found several spots open on a Friday afternoon. Paved spots and level. Most desirable spots are closer to the rim but we found a great spot for our 32' Fleetwood RV. Great views, nice trails for our dogs. Good base for traveling around the lake to go fishing or hiking. Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Short trip from Las Vegas. Only drawback is many people ran their generators late into the night before 10 pm curfew and a little windy middle of the night but otherwise nice weekend getaway.

Arrived here late on a Sat. Only $6 per night with Senior Pass (normally $12). The campground was only 1/3 full so easy to find a spot. Any rig will fit with several pull throughs. Our site, #30, was a pull through with fire ring, table and lots of room for our 2 dogs. Easy fit for our 32 ft Class A RV. This is dry camping, no hookups, pit toilets and no shade. There is a drive up area for tents or sleep in cars if needed. Worried that it would be windy but we had 3 perfect, very little wind days. Cold at night so we ran our furnace to quiet time which is 7pm to 7am but the day heated up to 65 degrees. The star gazing was amazing! Saw several shooting stars and clear view of the milky way. Dump station on the way out.

Hiked from our campsite to the visitor center and did the rings trail. Easy hike and lots to see. There is a ranger there on the weekends. Round trip was approx. 3 miles back to our RV. Lots of petroglyphs and cool geological rocks. There is a longer 6 mile hike which we did not do. Will definitely be coming back!
