As others have said this is a large gravel parking lot, I would not call this gravel it’s rocks but park anywhere you want, it can fit a lot of rigs & the views are amazing & free. It is VERY windy up here but who cares for free right. Not far from caverns woukd definitely stay again.

What a cute little stop over on our way from Livingston to south padre island. They have about 15-20 sites some are for more long timers you can stay up to 30 days @ a time about 12 of these sites are pull throughs. Follow directions exactly to get here. Great stop. 👏👏

We stayed in Tucson for most of the winter last year 2019. We were in Pima county fair grounds and when the crowds were too much for us we escaped to this wonderful area. It is beautiful anywhere you camp on this property there are a couple of spots we couldn’t get our 41 ft diesel pusher in but mostly we had no problems. There were weekends we could sit & watch the snow showers on the mountains all around us, some days we would watch the rain showers. We spent several weekends & days during the week, it is busy on the weekends like everywhere but during the week it was amazing! So quite & dark. Love it here

We actually stayed in the paved lot, because we are a 40 ft DP & didn’t really feel like we fit in the first place. And it was raining a lot, but it was beautiful & quiet, there are several places back along the road for either small TT or class Bs, but no way we driving “our beast” down there. Unfortunately we didn’t have time on Saturday to hike the falls, but we’ll be back. Such a gorgeous area. We actually unhooked in the falls parking lot & took toad scouting, but as previously mentioned if you take the 1st left & go across bridge you won’t have to unhook until you reach the sno-park parking lot.

This is the travel information center located in Texarkana Texas. The signs show that the RVs come up front and park to left of the building. Went inside to make sure it was still ok to stay overnight & not only did he say yes he told us to go around the trucks back over to last loop by Maintenance and park there so our slides would be over the grass. I really don’t recommend going around the trucks & out their entrance but we were able to make it work. Had a wonderful night sleep away from the trucks & traffic. Not all Texas rest stops let you stay overnight so always check. Definitely stay here again.

This is a parking lot which is great. We parked alongside the creek which was flowing swiftly from raining the past 2 days. Security makes frequent passes through the parking lot. Note how tall is your rig there is a bar which states height 12’6 I believe our antenna hit but we were fine. Easy off & back on I40. Great for a one night stop over.

We had read several reviews about staff being rude & unhelpful, we found this totally untrue. Granted we were there during the week & it was middle of October & the campground closes @ the end of October all might have contributed but we found the staff extremely helpful. We had to have some pkgs delivered & as soon as they got them they called us they had arrived,
Now the staff @ the lodge in the dining room is a whole different matter, was so glad we were in the MH & I could cook because if you are waiting on service from THAT staff you are probably still waiting on service. HORRIBLE service in restaurant, will not EVER try to eat there again,

This place is a rest stop off I-10, but they have these really cute little shelters covered w/ a picnic table, trash can & lighted. Yes there are a lot of trains but it was cool to be able to sit out enjoy everyone going up & down I-10 & the trains they didn’t bother us @ all during the night. Felt very safe here, they have about 12 shelters & 6 were taken the night we were there.

This is a truly amazing place on BLM land. The sites are huge, and could easily hold 2-3 rigs. Our site was right on the water & we could have easily put another 2-3 big rigs in there with us & we are 41 ft DP pulling a toad. Beware if you stop in October it is hunting season no problem for us but if you go out hiking I suggest orange. There is a pit toilet for every 2-3 sites & each site has cover, wind break, barque & fire pit. Oh yeah & the wild horeses!!!
Definitely want to return here.

I have to agree with everyone else, it is a beautiful park, staff is very friendly. Even accommodated us when I made the reservation for the wrong dates. It is super close to Crater Lake National Park so very convenient, but their sites are short. We were in site #16, we are 41ft long so we literally stuck out in the middle of the road & they put cones around the front of our coach so nobody would hit it. The creek is beautiful & clear & cold (in October anyway). There is a ton of stuff for kids. They seem to cater more to folks staying in their cabins than RVs, but we would definitely stay here again.
Only dings were the poor Verizon signal & road noise though it does die down after about 2-3 am.
