The rate above reflects the nightly transient rate (pre HST).

We stayed here while we were building nearby. The campground is largely seasonal with mostly mature singles or couples. The campers are very friendly and it is a quiet park. Sites are large and most have mature trees. The fall colours were amazing. Our site was treed but VERY open - the entertainment pavilion (being rebuilt while we were here) and several sites backed onto ours.

Laundry facilities were limited (one of each) but clean. We did not make use of any of the other common areas (pool, games room, rec hall) but they appeared to be well kept up. Both of the owners were very visible in the park, working on improvements and making sure that everyone followed the rules. During the time we were there, it was very apparent that anyone not following the rules to the letter would be reprimanded quickly - there was no leeway.

Cell service was pretty limited. There is no wifi but you could purchase internet service from a local provider while you were there.

We stayed here over Labour Day weekend and the park was full. We booked in July and got one of the last sites - a transient site in the seasonal section. The site was large and open and very near the dump station. The seasonal sites vary quite a bit in size but most have some privacy with hedges between them. There had been rain recently and it was the only site that wasn’t wet & muddy. The main transient area has views of the lake but the sites are smaller and crowded together. It has more of a “party” atmosphere with some big groups and watercraft everywhere. People were very social and there was lots of visiting among the campsites. The main washrooms are in the seasonal section with porta potties in the transient area.
The campground was fine but we prefer something with more privacy and scenery.

The price above reflects off season rates and includes HST. We stayed here in early September on a visit to Algonquin Park (which was fully booked).
Our site was a long pull thru with 30 amp. There is a dump station available and it is free after 3 nights stay. The campground is very pretty with a lot of options for camping. Sites are mostly in the pine trees with some bush coverage between sites. We had a bit of a mixup with our site about halfway through (the lettered sections have the same site numbers) but it was quickly settled.
Algonquin Park is only about 1/2 hr drive and we spent two of our days hiking there, Closer to the campground was Oxtongue Rapids and Ragged Falls - both have short, extremely scenic trails.
Huntsville is worth a visit - it has all of the necessities - a nice craft brewery (Canvas Brewing), cute shops and pretty waterfront.
Closer to the campground - French Fry wagon at the garden center was really good and Henrietta’s Bakery was excellent.

We stayed here towards the end of August while exploring the area and making a day trip to Skagway. The road in was fairly good with a steep downhill section at the end and some washboard areas at the start. There was a small camping area on the left (with its own pay station)before you reached the main campground. The playground looked amazing and from what we could hear - was a lot of fun. There is also a small beach - we met some people who said that it is warm enough to swim in July. Like all Yukon campgrounds this one had free unsplit firewood.
Our site had amazing unobstructed views as it sat higher than most of the other sites - on the downside it was a little windy. There was a trail from our site that led to the lakeshore and the Conrad Historical Townsite was adjacent to the campground. Carcross was about a 5 min drive away with a good museum, lots of touristy shops and a laundromat (which was closed while we were there), a short drive further was the Carcross Desert. Some good hiking trails and mountain biking were very close by.
The drive to Skagway (1.5 hrs)was gorgeous and the area around Summit Lake was surreal.

This was our first experience overnighting at a casino and it went well. The truck parking lot was well marked and easy to get to. The lot was well lit and we saw security drive through a few times. We didn’t visit the casino itself. Traffic noise wasn’t bad but there was loud music playing for a lot of the night.

The truck parking was very easy to find at the back of the building - looked to be beside the employee parking. We had the buffet which was reasonably priced (18) but was pretty meat and fried food heavy for my taste. There was good grocery shopping about 5 minutes away, Walmart, Hy-Vee and a great local store. The Front Street Brewery which was less than a 10 minute drive had a great atmosphere and a nice selection. The parking lot was well lit at night. Unfortunately, the highway noise was very noticeable and sleeping was difficult.

We’ve camped here a number of times in October (great fall colours) but this was our first summer visit and with the new owners. We love the location - minutes outside of Owen Sound, access to the Bruce Trail right from the park (and numerous other trailheads in the area), a 5 minute bike ride to a rail trail, a couple of wineries and great road biking. The park is a mix of seasonal and transient sites - the transient sites are spacious and the ones around the perimeter offer good privacy (cedar hedges). Although the park was fully booked the sites are situated that social distancing was very easy and it didn’t feel crowded. Both the laundry and the playground were closed due to COVID but the swimming pool was open (1 group at a time & prebook times).
The park has some issues with the electrical supply during higher use times and our surge protector disconnected frequently (in the afternoon) during our visit. It was very hot while we were there so we had to use our generator to cool the RV down.
Cell service (Rogers) was generally good although there were times with No Service. Wifi is through an external provider - daily rate of $10, weekly of $20.
Firewood was very pricey - $12 for a bundle of about 7 pieces.
We don’t have pets but my understanding is that there is an extra charge for each pet.

We found it a bit confusing to park here - we arrived in the dark, the casino is pretty large and there are multiple parking lots. Our understanding was that overnight RV parking was allowed in the South parking lot but when we arrived there, it was empty and a sign indicated that truck parking was now located under the bridge in the North parking lot. I tried to call the casino to get further information but I couldn’t reach a person. The parking lot was empty so we decided to stay where we were. It was very quiet and located far enough from the main building that it was lit but not bright. There was a guard station but it wasn’t manned while we were there.
The casino is about a mile from the highway so road noise is minimal wherever you park.

We stayed here on a travel day so easy access and a pull thru were the priorities. The site was level and the hookups were easy. The owners obviously take a lot of care with their park, the grass was beautiful and there were small trees at each site - in a couple of years they will be great for shade. It was a pleasant night.

We didn’t actually camp here - we were at Wolf Creek Campground down the road but did make use of their services.
We dumped and filled 2x - separate dump & fill stations but drive through on both. Very easy.
They also have a car/RV wash which was great.
I used the laundromat which was very clean and had all of the machines working (seems to be a rarity in the places I’ve been). Was & dry was $5/load.
I also used the washrooms and they were very clean.
The owners were very friendly and a pleasure to speak with.
