Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 06, 2023We stayed here over Labour Day weekend and the park was full. We booked in July and got one of the last sites - a transient site in the seasonal section. The site was large and open and very near the dump station. The seasonal sites vary quite a bit in size but most have some privacy with hedges between them. There had been rain recently and it was the only site that wasn’t wet & muddy. The main transient area has views of the lake but the sites are smaller and crowded together. It has more of a “party” atmosphere with some big groups and watercraft everywhere. People were very social and there was lots of visiting among the campsites. The main washrooms are in the seasonal section with porta potties in the transient area.
The campground was fine but we prefer something with more privacy and scenery.

The views are lovely that’s about the only good thing I can say. We stayed at the park 30 days booked in January because it looked lovely online. The showers are tired and dirty. The recycling station is a mess, people have no idea how to sort it and it doesn’t get organized. The students at the checkin have little knowledge about the campground, for example we asked if there was a pump out service and were told no. Later we met the pump out service gentleman whose been doing 40 years! We had an unleashed dog attacked our dog and nothing was done! Complaints were made to bylaw as well with no support. The grounds are not supervised by staff - one walk through at 12 is done to check people have left. Homeless people slept under trees every night. Didn’t feel safe at all.

Not a great place!
Staff were uninformed. Felt unsafe. My dog was viciously attacked by off leash dog at campground and the plan was to wait til owners left and hope wouldn’t have to deal with it. The camp staff had no idea who was at what campground and what dog was with site. Homeless people sleep under trees at night. The showers are small and dirty. No laundry. Recycling is gross - people leaving inappropriate items. The beach has water culverts empty into it where you would swim. No one monitors what’s going on in the campground during day or evening.
