We stayed here on a travel day where easy access and a pull thru site were the primary consideration. The park is basically a parking lot behind the Inn - sites are level and fairly close together. The Inn provides a barrier for the road noise so it was pretty quiet in the night. Wifi is for the Inn but since we were in the 1st site, were able to access it without any issue. Check in was very pleasant - owners were friendly and helpful.
There is a grocery store about a 5 minute walk away. It had pretty good selection and the prices were reasonable.
We also walked to the Visitor Center and Fort Nelson Heritage Museum - about 20 minutes each way.
Blue Bell has full hookups but we did see a dump station near the Visitor Center.
There was 4 bars on our cellphones (Rogers)

We were booked into site 13 but 17 was easier to back into so we were able to change. Sites were large with plenty of space in between - mostly bushes. The site was level and had both a fire pit and picnic table. Firewood was available at the camp store for $9/bundle and was dry. This is bear country so no food can be left outside and we put the BBQ away each night. Both cell phone and wifi were intermittent.
We did two easy hikes - Chickadee and Spruce Bog which were pleasant. There were a number to choose from. We drove through one of the full hook up sections were the sites were all pull bys. Our area had more ambience and privacy.
We visited Winnipeg while we were there - about a 45 min drive downtown. The Human Rights Museum was amazing.
We would stay there again if we return to Winnipeg.

We stopped here at the end of August on a travel day so did not want to unhook which limited our choices. There were only 4 that would have been long enough and 3 were taken so we camped in the front section of a double pull thru in the forested section. The lake spots have stunning views and are a mix of pull by’s and back in’s. Most of the back in’s are not suited to bigger rigs (even if not towing). It was raining while we were there so we only walked the Lakeshore Trail (1 of 2 short hikes) which had views of a glacial lake surrounded by mountains and forest). The road into and around the campground was good but narrow when passing. All sites were unserviced and there is no cell reception.

The price above reflects both a premium waterfront site and the Ontario Seniors discount. The park has both electric and unserviced sites We stayed here at the end of September so had more of a choice in sites - the park was fairly empty except for the waterfront sites. In our area, electrical posts are shared between 2 sites so it was quite a distance. We had our own extension cord but the park office offered to lend us one if we needed it.
Our site was large, we were able to park the RV crosswise so that we could look at the lake from our dining room window. If I stepped down onto the rocks, there was an amazing view of the Sleeping Giant. We had 1-2 bars with Rogers.
When we visited, the drive to the park was very rough. It is 35 kilometres from the highway and it was all fresh gravel.

There is a National Park fee and if you reserve on line, a reservation fee as well. Campfire was $8 and it was dry. In our area (electric only), there were no in ground fire pits but there were BBQ’s that you could use.
Sites were nicely spaced with bushes and trees in between. There were paved wheelchair accessible sites near the washrooms. Our site was sloped but that seemed to be the exception.
A ranger told us that this area has the largest concentration of black bears in North America. So bear precautions are a must - BBQ’s and any food stored in the vehicle at night. We did have a bear wander through the campground while we were there.
Wasagaming was very pretty - ice cream from the Lakehouse is a must. We did a short hike on the Brûlé loop and a longer one on the Gorge Creek Trail. Both were very enjoyable.
There was cell phone coverage (we use Rogers) at the campsite.

The above price includes both the senior discount and HST.

Be prepared to wait if you are checking in on a Friday afternoon. There are over 1000 campsites and only one entrance (with very slow WIFI) for everyone to funnel through. Check in was easy but it took about 45 minutes to get through.

Our site was nice - both long and wide with plenty of room between neighbours. However, there was a LOT of poison ivy on and near the campsites (and on most trails). We wore long pants all weekend as a precaution.

There are a lot of options for families - the hikes are all relatively short and have varied terrain. The Carolinian was a favourite - the boardwalks, stairs and lookouts were a hit. The Savannah Trail made for a great bike ride - pretty smooth and with lots of small hills and curves to make it interesting. We used the day beach as it was less crowded and more scenic (short walk over the dunes). I am not sure if this was typical but the day we were there, there were lots of waves to jump but also an undertow - it was too much for the smaller ones.

We had good cell service with Rogers.

We were originally going to camp at the State Park but they were full for the weekend. This campground was about 10-15 minutes from the park. It was only about 5 minutes from the History museum and not far from Amarillo. Staff (owner?) was very friendly and helpful. Site was narrow and muddy but with no one beside us, it worked fine. We had no one behind us so were able to drive through and hook up on the site. Lots of big rigs passing through. I used the laundry and it was clean and the machines worked well.

The sites are on a first come, first served basis and were close to full by dinner time when we stayed in mid August. The campground is unserviced with limited recycling, clean outhouses and unlimited firewood with a permit ($8.80/day). For the most part, the entrance road was good with just a few potholes, the last bit into the campground was washboard. The sites were large and mostly level - some could accommodate a 40’ rig. There is a short trail that leads from the campground down to the lake (0.6km) which has a beach and some short walking trails. You could also walk to the trailhead for both the Kings Throne (must do) and one end of the Cottonwood Trail. We attended two ranger talks while we were there which were excellent.

We stayed here over a weekend in mid September. When I checked on-line, it looked like all the sites were reservable and that the campground was full. We decided to check it out in person and are very glad we did. It is actually a mix of reservable and first-come, first-served sites. There were 20+ sites added this year but the computer system hadn’t been updated to reflect them. On the system, our site said it was “booked” but it was actually free. BBQ’s are not allowed on picnic tables. The campground was less than half full that weekend - but that could also be due to it being cold and rainy. A park operator comes around in the evening to register you and collect fees (cash only). There is also firewood for sale ($10)
Our site was great - large, treed, fresh gravel and private. Solar power was limited so we had to work our schedule around the BC generator hours. Evening hours are great - 6 to 8 but the morning hours of 9-11 mean late starts every day. The bathroom and shower (free) near us were very clean. I could hear trains during the night
It was just a few minutes into the town of Fernie which was very fun to walk around. The campground is also on the road to the Island Lake Lodge and access to it’s hiking and mountain biking trails.
We had 3 bars for Rogers.

Easy on and off from I-40. Area looks run down but the sites were long and well kept up. Campground was almost fully the night we stayed there. Owners were very friendly and the restaurant smelled great. We didn’t use any of the facilities. The first number i called wasn’t correct - it should be 580-526-3965.
