The price above reflects both a premium waterfront site and the Ontario Seniors discount. The park has both electric and unserviced sites We stayed here at the end of September so had more of a choice in sites - the park was fairly empty except for the waterfront sites. In our area, electrical posts are shared between 2 sites so it was quite a distance. We had our own extension cord but the park office offered to lend us one if we needed it.
Our site was large, we were able to park the RV crosswise so that we could look at the lake from our dining room window. If I stepped down onto the rocks, there was an amazing view of the Sleeping Giant. We had 1-2 bars with Rogers.
When we visited, the drive to the park was very rough. It is 35 kilometres from the highway and it was all fresh gravel.

Sleeping Giant PP is about 40 minutes off the Trans Canada Hwy., and about 1 hour away from Thunder Bay where supplies can be purchased. The 40 minute drive is on a road that we drove no faster than 60km/hr. Take it easy, it is rough in certain areas.
The Park has a small beach and more than a hundred km of great hiking and cycling trails. If you want to hike for a week and never the same trail twice this is the park for you!
Park roads and site access were OK for a big 5th wheel. Some PP's are better access than others, so do your research!
The park/site maps do not show which way sites angle so it is really important to scout out ahead of time to find the best route if possible! Once we got to our site #96 it was spacious, clean and fairly level.
As with most PP's the facilities were very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Vey little outside noise, so if you are looking for some solitude, this is another great park for you!
No WiFi and no bars of Bell cell service.

No cell except occasionally near the lake. We loved our site very large and not near others. Lots of sites are too close. We are near the beach. The next best option would be across the road where there is access to the water. A few sites slanted. Our site was on a dead end road so very limited traffic.
We did numerous hikes we really enjoyed most of them.
Store already was closed and visitor center closed September 5.
No internet at the park.
Of course crowed as it was Labor Day weekend.
Water, dump and trash right after the entrance.
Loved hearing the loons on the lake.
Boat launch available

We stayed here two nights so the we could spend a whole day in the park and hike to the top of the giant without having to drive far and get started hiking first thing in the morning and it worked very well. Very spotty cell reception with Verizon. Site came to $50/CAD per night ($38 USD). Each site has parking spot, fire ring, tent area, and picnic table. Varying levels of privacy from trees and bushes with less privacy along lake and those fill up fast. Easy access to Marie Louise Lake for paddling and views of the sleeping giant.
