Wouldn't stay here again. It does offer extremely good access to the Colorado Spring sites. We were put in what can only be described as "overflow" sites. They share the parking lot with an auto parts store. Definitely not leaving anything unlocked. Yes full hook-up, yes 50amp but with sites so close we can't put out our lawn chairs or grill. Back-in only.

Arrival and check-in were friendly, quick and easy. We were given a choice of three sites across the drive from the pond. We chose one on the end so we wouldn't have neighbors on both sides. It seems open and spacious until other rigs arrive, then you see how close they are. You only have a few feet of space between you and your neighbor. Some of the sites (like ours) had the electric and water hook ups on the opposite side. Fortunately our cable and water hose were plenty long. The electric is 30amp at the low end of the scale. On hot days expect power blinks. The water is 30psi at the most and carries a lot of iron and silt. Keep and eye on your filters. Our T-Mobile phones and hotspot had zero service, but the campground WiFi was adequate for web surfing, email and even a little TV streaming. We were there the week just before the Baseball Hall of Fame induction which made the park very crowded by that Friday. I don't think it's normally that crowded. The site pad was packed gravel and kinda level. Plenty of trees helped with the blazing heat sometimes reaching the 90's that week in July. Our site on the end was unfortunately near the road. It was heavily screened by large trees, but we still got some occasional road noise which was better than neighbors on both sides.

The campground is 10 minutes from Cooperstown. We suggest using one of the three trolley parking lots and taking advantage of the $2.25 per person all-day trolley service. It goes directly to, or within a block of everything there is to do in Cooperstown. Within the village and the surrounding countryside are many wineries and breweries to explore. The town has a lot of history to get immersed in. And of course the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Plan on three to four hours to see that.

Overall, the campground was a nice experience and in a great location to explore the area around and in Cooperstown.

A little pricey at $83 per night. But it's a clean, safe park with level and well spaced sites. 30/50 FHU with a mix of back in and pull thru. We were only here one night, so we didn't make use of any on site facilities. The park has a pretty robust WiFi which was helpful as my T-Mobile was weak here in this valley. The location is far enough off I93 that was no road noise at night. The park itself was quiet, but again we were only here on a Thursday night. Can't tell what the weekends are like. All in all it's a nice spot to get off the road for a bit.

I usually try to find a silver lining in small RV parks. Most owners try to make it nice and make guests feel welcome. Not here. You get the feeling no one cares about the park. Many of the sites are folks living full time there and are obviously not in the best of circumstances. We did not feel secure there at all. A trailer park on the other side of the fence. No gate, no security. We took the precaution of keeping everything locked at all times. Never left chairs of grill out. All basement doors locked, including wet bay. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting... I'll leave it at that. The 50amp plug was on a pole and without the usual circuit breaker. You plugged in hot and unplugged hot. I will say they had good water pressure. Also, they charge for daily electricity usage. Sites are close together. Very close. Keep your blinds closed at all times.

Don't be discouraged by initial impression when arriving. Basic park, 30 and 50 amp, FHU. All PT. Didn't use the restroom. Our ATT hot spot got 11mbps and TMobile phone had no problem. Great water pressure. I imagine it gets pretty full when the sandhill crane and snow geese arrive end of October. Beautiful view of surrounding mountains. Billy is helpful and a character. The wildlife refuge was a surprise. Very well outfitted and maintained. We saw lots of wildlife even though the cranes and geese hadn't arrived.

It's billed as an "RV Resort" and yeah, they have the pool and mini golf and playground etc. Even so, the feel of the place is one of mostly long term seasonal sites with the transients relegated to what basically is an open field. 30amp and water only. They do have at least two easily accessible dump stations and free pump out if you're there for a week or longer. Pump out is on the the 4th day. The laundry was fine. It was clean and had four each washer and dryer. I think it was $2.25 per load. We didn't use the showers or bathrooms or any of the "resort" facilities. The biggest advantage is the location. 15 minutes to Mystic, Groton or New London. About an hour to Newport or Providence. They had a live band one Saturday night and it was loud and went on to 10:30. Unfortunately it was about 200 feet from our site. Not good. Otherwise it's pretty quiet there. The sites are wide so you don't feel on top of each other. They are fairly level with packed gravel and grass. No shade trees.

Check in was quick, easy and friendly. The first thing we noticed was the live lobster tank in the office. They will cook the lobster for you, just tell them what time and come pick it up. The sites were easy to back in to (they also have pull throughs). Packed gravel and level with 30/50 FHU. Located about 5 minutes from Ellsworth where there is a super Walmart, restaurants etc. Roughly 40 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The laundry is clean with lots of machines. $2.50 for wash and $2.50 for dry. A large staff was continuously working to keep the park clean and maintained. There is an ice cream shop on premises for post-lobster dessert. My T-Mobile 5G hotspot DL speeds were low, but enough to stream and Internet search. Be patient when exiting the park. There's one road to Bar Harbor and it's busy. Highly recommend the ParkMobile app for use when visiting Bar Harbor. The park was quiet at night (and during the day). The sites are far enough from the road that you get zero road noise. Bonus points for a full recycling station. Glass, cans, cardboard etc. In conclusion, a great place to stay, but kind of a long commute to Bar Harbor.

Thermopolis turned out to be way more interesting than we first thought. More on that later.

Eagle RV Park is about 5 minutes from the center of town and is also neighbors with the local whitewater rafting company. A short walk and you're there. The campground is small, but larger rigs can maneuver without trouble. Sites are small but ample. My 35' coach filled our site end-to-end. Our car was parked across the lane in front of us, so no issue there. The hookup pedestals and sewer dump require long runs and are unfortunately located right next to your neighbors picnic table. Be courteous to your neighbor and don't dump while they're eating dinner. The park is filled with tall shady trees which may cause issues for you satellite TV folk. We prefer the shade, especially when the temps were running in the high 90's.

The rafting company is right next door and has two-hour trips that float through the Wind River Canyon which are way fun and interesting. 20 miles out of town is Legend Rock, where you can see petroglyphs. In town are the famous hot springs where you can soak after a day of adventure. Don't miss the Wyoming Dinosaur Center and Museum. And no visit is complete without a cocktail at the Safari Lounge.

My AT&T hotspot managed 8mbps download. Ample for streaming TV and everything else we do on the internet. When away from the hotspot our Consumer Cellular T-Mobile was consistently on LTE.

This is what you would consider a "hidden gem". Clean, well manicured park with adequately sized sites. 50amp full hook-up. The only downside is if you are sited on the western end, in the "60" series sites you will have a lot of traffic noise from I5. It dies down in the evening and our coach is well insulated so it wasn't an issue that would prevent me from booking here again. My T-Mobile and ATT hotspots both registered over 25mbps download speeds. More than enough for video streaming. The park does have a WiFi, but I didn't use it so I have no report. A laundry is on site and the machines can be activated by phone app or quarters. No "heavy duty" machine though. The dryers are strong and I only had to run the initial 45 minutes for dry clothes. The park is located with easy on/off of I5 and downtown Eugene is about 10 minutes away. There is a pizza delivery place, Roaring Rapids that will deliver to your site. And yeah, the pizza is good. Recycle bins for glass, cardboard and plastic are available. We didn't use the park restrooms or showers so no comment on those. Overall I think it was good value for the money.

Beware the laundry room cash card scam. To use the machines you have to obtain a cash card from the office. They force you to pay cash for the card, but refuse any refund. What they don't tell you is that any amount not used is lost. They refuse to refund either in cash or add as a credit on the cc used to pay for the site. I called my cc company and filed a dispute. Roads are in poor repair. Sites are unclear as to where to park. Ours didn't even have a site number posted. The gate guard checked us in at arrival. We signed a receipt and he handed us a park map. Said "you're here, the site is there" pointing at the map. That was it. No directions (this is a large park with a labyrinth of roads). No campground information. Nothing. If felt like we were annoying him by showing up. The location is good for exploring the area, but your $68 could be better spent elsewhere.
