“incomparable quality in family camping”
Make Cooperstown Family Campground your destination campground for incomparable quality in family camping. For over 46 years, and now in its second generation of family ownership, the Briggs Family has created a very special family camping experience for guests who often return to vacation with us year after year after year. Like them, we think that you will also enjoy the many family-friendly activities and amenities which we have consistently offered, including pony rides for the children, hayrides, playgrounds, paddleboats, a swimming pool, an arcade, stocked fishing ponds, theme weekends and more. However you choose to camp, we have a site that will exceed your expectations. Our campsites accommodate everything from the smallest tent to the largest RV. Even if you do not own an RV, we offer RV rentals that can comfortably sleep either a family of two adults and three children or a group of four adults.

It’s not far from Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame or the main town. Very small playground and the pool did not have a lifeguard but they did have a cute rec hall. Owners seemed nice. The only con is WiFi signal is very weak to null and phone signal is none until you get closer to town. We even had a WiFi router but still barely to no signal. Definitely worth it rent their cable. Like I said earlier. Great place to get away from it all if you’re mainly staying on campsite but we would come back for the site and the towns attractions.

Arrival and check-in were friendly, quick and easy. We were given a choice of three sites across the drive from the pond. We chose one on the end so we wouldn't have neighbors on both sides. It seems open and spacious until other rigs arrive, then you see how close they are. You only have a few feet of space between you and your neighbor. Some of the sites (like ours) had the electric and water hook ups on the opposite side. Fortunately our cable and water hose were plenty long. The electric is 30amp at the low end of the scale. On hot days expect power blinks. The water is 30psi at the most and carries a lot of iron and silt. Keep and eye on your filters. Our T-Mobile phones and hotspot had zero service, but the campground WiFi was adequate for web surfing, email and even a little TV streaming. We were there the week just before the Baseball Hall of Fame induction which made the park very crowded by that Friday. I don't think it's normally that crowded. The site pad was packed gravel and kinda level. Plenty of trees helped with the blazing heat sometimes reaching the 90's that week in July. Our site on the end was unfortunately near the road. It was heavily screened by large trees, but we still got some occasional road noise which was better than neighbors on both sides.
The campground is 10 minutes from Cooperstown. We suggest using one of the three trolley parking lots and taking advantage of the $2.25 per person all-day trolley service. It goes directly to, or within a block of everything there is to do in Cooperstown. Within the village and the surrounding countryside are many wineries and breweries to explore. The town has a lot of history to get immersed in. And of course the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Plan on three to four hours to see that.
Overall, the campground was a nice experience and in a great location to explore the area around and in Cooperstown.

We stayed here on a quick mini trip to Cooperstown NY. Location was great. It was off season so we had our pick of multiple sites. Lots of trees, 2 smaller ponds, and very clean, well-kept property. Appears to be a section in the back that may be seasonal stays. Did not checkout bathhouse or showers so can’t rate them. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. We paid $55/night and stayed two nights. Check-in was at 2 pm and check-out is 11 am. We had an excursion planned on our last morning that we needed a 1 pm check-out and the management was very agreeable (especially I think since it was off season and a week day and few campers). We had W/E/S. They have some gorgeous tent sites for those of you who prefer tent camping. Definitely would stay again. Close to activities in Milford, Cooperstown, and brew pubs.

Site was just outside Cooperstown, can't miss it coming from the south. Beautiful green property many camping options. Utilities all worked well. Not a typical side by side packed house, no concrete many areas you camp on the grass. Rustic showers and toilets but hot water with good pressure, Helpful friendly staff. Would absolutely come back, was beautiful and quiet.
