As we drove around looking for a site (there were many to choose from), most were not large or level. Was able to find a semi-pull thru for our truck camper (site 41) with a nice view of the reservoir.

Long walk to to bathhouse so didn’t investigate it. But is supposed to have showers. There were also some vault toilets stationed around and some water spigots.

No hookups, no dump station.

Price was $25, but halved due to our National Park senior pass.

We don’t have kids or dogs, so there goes a couple of the highlights mentioned by others.

On the plus side, the sites are reasonably level (gravel), there are nice shade trees, the WiFi worked fairly well, and we had full hookup.

Three major negatives: continuous road noise from the Interstate, sites are packed together, and the cost is extreme

We’ve stayed at nicer parks, with level concrete pads, much quieter, with the same amenities for much less cost. $50 a night for a gravel patch is a bit stiff IMO.

Just passing through to the West, so it was a one-nighter. Doubt if we’ll be back.

Host was very accommodating to get us a last-minute reservation. Had a back-in that was nicely graded and fairly level. All utilities worked fine. A little bit of road noise as the sites are close to the highway. Nothing objectionable.

WiFi necessary as no cell service. No problems with connection.

Was very impressed with the positive personality of the young woman who checked us in. Very helpful and pleasant.

Would stay here again if passing through the area.

It was just an overnighter, so tolerable.

The good? Full hook-ups and off the interstate. Didn’t use the bathhouse or laundry or pool, so can’t comment.

The bad? Far from an Oasis, we could almost throw a stone and hit the hundreds (thousands?) of trucks streaming by. Road noise definitely a problem, and I’m hard of hearing! Grass/mud sites (and yes it was raining) that were far from level. Everyone close together. A picnic table or two strewn about to give the illusion of a campsite.

Not for me. Won’t be back.

Even though we were only there for a night, everything about the place felt right. The owner was very congenial and accommodating.

Full hookup, level site, what's not to like? Even decent WiFi!

Passing through Nebraska heading East and South. Very happy to have found this place.

Large shade trees, plenty of room (not crowded on this date). Fair price and nice people.

Didn’t use facilities, so can’t comment.

From check-in (no reservation), to the site amenities, to the shower, and the ice cream social in the evening — this was a delightful experience.

Sites were gravel and mostly level. Nice space between. Trees for shade. Easy access to the interstate. Very nice people. Only downside was water pressure, but it was sufficient. Would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay here. Check-in host was very friendly and helpful. Same with other hosts. They even cleaned and raked the gravel at each campsite after the camper departed.

Site was level. Utilities worked fine.

We stayed at site #16. Near the lake, but not a lake view.

Would definitely stay again when in the area. Toured the nearby Okefenokee Swamp and that was worth the cost.

The good: sites are nicely paved and fairly level. Dump station area is decent. Secluded away from the highway.

The bad: third time we’ve stayed here. No water the the sites. Bathhouse/restrooms absolutely filthy — apparently no maintenance. No one around to check is in and no provisions for walk-ins (even in April). So you have to use the internet Reservation System — which had a glitch and would not allow us to reserve an empty site we were sitting in get cell service. Last time there, was harassed by enforcement officer for “not paying” even though I had a receipt. She didn’t want to review the receipt until much later in the process. Not the friendliest place, to say the least!

Stayed there because I needed a spot close to Marion Ohio. If I had other choices, would not return.
