Winter camped at the park to test RV heating. 2 nights temp dropped to 30. Late season so park not crowded. Hiked 3 miles on trails, beautiful views of Deleware lake. Due to close drive from Columbus, we plan to return. Baths were clean, area very clean and love the layout of multi camping sites. Marked Noise lower due to train over by Rt 23.

The good: sites are nicely paved and fairly level. Dump station area is decent. Secluded away from the highway.
The bad: third time we’ve stayed here. No water the the sites. Bathhouse/restrooms absolutely filthy — apparently no maintenance. No one around to check is in and no provisions for walk-ins (even in April). So you have to use the internet Reservation System — which had a glitch and would not allow us to reserve an empty site we were sitting in get cell service. Last time there, was harassed by enforcement officer for “not paying” even though I had a receipt. She didn’t want to review the receipt until much later in the process. Not the friendliest place, to say the least!
Stayed there because I needed a spot close to Marion Ohio. If I had other choices, would not return.

This camping location is maintained by the Ohio Division of Wildlife. Over the years Ohio has become a little frugal in funding their state park systems.
Conversely this park has seen some renovations. Many of the camping pads have been leveled and asphalt laid making many spots smooth and level. The bathrooms have been completely renovated making them pretty nice.
A modern tornado shelter is on the property to offer protection for the unlikely event of a tornado.
There is a marina and beach. I didn’t use either. Both seem nice for a state park.
There are no full hookup sites however most have electric.
There is a single dump station which is fairly well maintained. Fresh water can be obtained there as well.
Most camping sites are fairly large an clean. Fire rings are in good condition. The electric panels are well maintained as well.
My site was oddly crowded outside my front door however I had a huge backyard.
Overall nice. The leaves are changing and my wife and I took advantage of several of the nearby hiking trails to see the sites.

Positives include one new bathhouse, lots of space between sites that are asphalt, potable water available, dump station and electric hook ups. Nice playgrounds and walking trails.
Negatives are the highway noise and trains that can be heard most noticeable at night of course.
We stayed during the week, which was quiet near out site, but am told it is fully booked for the weekend.

Large park with several paved loops, nearly deserted save for a couple host rigs. Our site was level with easy access, with 50A (water and dump in the park.) The bathhouse was a bit far away from any campsite, situated in the center of the loops, but we didn't need to use it much since we're self-contained. There were laundry facilities, but locating them was quite difficult (and again, we didn't need to use them during our stay.) There are some hiking trails in the park, but conditions were soggy while we were there, and we were in the area to visit family, so didn't really spend much time in the park. Lots of swallow houses & swallows throughout the park, white-tailed deer about.

Beautiful park. Well-marked spaces. Paved pads made for almost level pull-in from the start. Bathrooms were excellent with individual shower/toilet rooms that were well lit. Heat or at least hot water would have been nice as it was quite cold.
We walked down a trail and found ourselves at the lake. As we drank in the landscape, a big bird landed about 20 feet from us in a tree. As it wheeled around and back into the air, we realized it was a bald eagle. Pretty hard to top that anywhere else.
The 4 rating for noise was due to the heavy road noise outside the park.
We will make this a regular first night spot on all our east-bound trips.

I just needed a quick overnight and this was a great place. The layout is like a hub with spokes. The hub has the bathhouse where each room is an individual toilet, sink, and shower, 8 total with two dedicated to handicapped. Nice inside (see pics) and most of the spots have electric. Water is from a spigot at the end of the spokes, so one water spigot per “arm” basically and no per-site hookups for water. They give a 10% military discount if you can show ID (they accepted my VA card). My spot was big without much shade but most of the spots were pretty covered but clear for height of a decent size rig. There was a playground and a pickle ball court in our area and the lake seems like a very nice draw. Also, definitely recommend checking out the town of Delaware OH, very quaint and vibrant Main Street area with lots of restaurants and shops, most small local places it looked like.
