About what you expect for a KOA next to the interstate. This is RIGHT beside the hwy. we were several rows from the hwy but there is a row on top of it. The roadway noise is fairly loud and we could hear it inside. The sites are not level side to side, but we lived with it overnight. At least an inch off. Utilities were awkwardly placed for a travel trailer and I almost had to unhook to get the water to reach. Gave it a 3 because the KOA next to the hwy are normally much better. But, it works for overnight.

When I pay more for a Koa, I’m expecting WiFi, cable, level spot, etc. this was not that. Advertised WiFi, but none. At least I had decent cell. No cable. Site was not level. We normally dry camp, so I don’t have an issue with any of that except that this is a KOA and said they had it. Additionally, I reserved a pull through and there was no way my TT was going in this spot without 8” of leveling. AND, the site had the door facing the road and the amenities on the other side.

That said, this is in a good location for wine country. The road up is difficult and has a one lane bridge section, steep hills and twisty road. Would stay again because of location, but don’t expect a great KOA.

We got a spot on the water for a Thursday and Friday night. This campground is awesome with some great waterfront sites. Water and electric.

One of the bathhouses was a bit long in the tooth, but clean.

I’d you stay here, be prepared for the weekend (and I’m assuming Summer) crowd. On Thursday, it was very quiet and serene. Friday afternoon the Atlanta weekenders arrived and the character changed. The weekenders were a bit less respectful of their neighbors.

Got the WORST site in the park - E2. Jammed in with a fifth wheel on one side and the office on the other. Overhanging tree at exit to site.

This park is right next to the highway and very loud. Quite a few long term residents, but relatively tidy. Services were fine and concrete pad was level.

The people were nice, but this place was not even as good as a KOA next to an interstate.

Perfect for what we needed. We stayed overnight on our way out West. The campground is 1/4 mile from the highway, has perfectly level pull through sites and full hookups. The check in staff was great and led us to the site. He even when ahead to see if we could pull through a couple other sites so we didn't even have to turn down the road. Verizon cell was 2-3 bars LTE with data. WiFi was good - we were right next to the antenna. And there were some over the air TV channels. No trees, but there was space between the sites for a picnic table and fire ring. Go to the Cheese Chalet - they are really nice and you have to go there to get some Cheese since you are in WI!

Nightly rate included tax and KOA club discount. They have a pool which is open and limited to 25 people due to COVID.. Many people were wearing masks around the site, but not the staff.

Some road noise as would be expected near the highway.

Stayed here overnight in transit. Sites are grassy on a hill and I had to unhook my 23 ft TT and park truck separately. Sites are narrow and would not have been able to put out awning with someone next to me. Relatively level. 1 pedestal for 2 sites so odd sites are on wrong side. Water pressure is high, so make sure you have regulator. Otherwise, it was quiet and on a lake. Primarily used by locals. Has a dump site, showers. Could stream video on Verizon.

Definitely get a premium site with a view. FHU. Site pads are a little narrow but plenty of room next to it. Sites are close together but with well-placed vegetation for privacy. Didn’t use the bathhouses, but they have free showers. 2x coin washer/dryer that worked fine. Owners/hosts were great. Would go there again.

OK park that was clean and on the river. Nothing special. We had a spot with a pull through concrete pad on the river so it was a bit more expensive. Basically a big open area on the Mississippi flood plane. The town/area outside the park is a dump. Could not even find a grocery store. We stayed 1 nights and everything was fine. The barges do make a bit of noise, but nothing major.

This is a convenient RV park that is expensive for what you get like all lodging in a NP.

Beware, there are 2 types of sites. “”Classic” means crappy. The other sites are paved and decent. The classic sites are the former employee housing sites where they’ve cleared away the old trailers. Our first site was so bad I could not level our TT with nearly 6”. The sewer had no cover and was just an open pipe. The electric is 50/20a only, so you need an adaptor for 30a. The bathroom was non functional so there were only portables. The trash cans were small and packed full most of the time.

I go here again for the convenience, but not at a classic site.

Last minute decision to stay here and could only get one night. Had a partial view of the ocean and the site wAs great. Very wide and could easily fit 28 TT and truck alongside. Full hookup was flawless. Nice path to cross road and walk down to beautiful beach. Newport was 20 min away and has great seafood.

My site was well thought out with nice privacy bushes between sites and a slope that allowed us a view. Did not hear any road noise at night - only the ocean.

Don’t expect it to be warm in this area.

This place is a gem.
