Confirmed by 6 users | Last reported on February 21, 2023This is the perfect place to stay if you want to camp near the Grand Canyon. We walked or rode our bikes everywhere. It was so beautiful! Just know that you need to make your reservations months in advance!!! When I originally tried to book, they were full. But I kept checking back in daily and one a spot opened up. I think people book several days not knowing exactly when they will be there and then let the dates go that they don't need.
Perfect location for Grand Canyon. The bus comes right to this park to go to all of the stops and sights. The park had an elk that wandered all around eating grass and whatever else he could find. It was fun to see where he would be and how close he got and for us it was in the next camper spot! Made for great pictures and we followed the rules and didn't bother him. The only downside- no showers here. You have to drive to the next campground and then pay $2 per shower. It worked, just not ideal if you prefer to shower in the provided facilities. I would stay here again.
The campgrounds were nice enough. Exacy what you would expect, but most the amenities were closed due to COVID. This is fine but none of this was advertised during booking. The showers and laundry were closed. How can the park still charge regular and full price when you get half the amenities?
Perfect place to stay at the grand canyon. You are in the park and directly next to most of the trails. Easy walk to the rim.
We stayed here in the middle of November. There was cell service in the area, but I can't remember details.
We wanted to stay on one of the forest service roads, but it was getting dark and there was some weather moving in. Fortunately this place had one site available and we took it. Full hook ups are nice but this is just a parking lot.
The shuttle bus was a very nice feature and there are restaurants/stores in walking distance.

The sites are small and fairly close together, but it's a great location for visiting Grand Canyon. We have a 41 foot 5th wheel, and we just fit in the site with the truck parked sideways. It's full hookup and all about location. Once you're set up you don't even have to drive anywhere. There is a bus stop right at the campground so you can take the Grand Canyon bus transportation to any place within the park. There are many hotels and restaurants that are fun to visit in addition to the main attraction. This is our second time staying here and there is no other place I'd rather stay while visiting this park. Verizon coverage is okay. It looks like we have 4G on the phone but it was extremely slow. When we stayed here 2 years ago Verizon worked much better so I'm not sure why it was so slow this time.

You come here for the location and the FHUs and that's what you get. This is walkable to the south rim, the village, market etc. The shuttle will take you anywhere else you need to be so park your car and enjoy everything there is to enjoy at the Grand Canyon.
The sites are small and have no privacy. The RV park is surrounded by permanent residents in run down RVs and mobile homes but the RV park itself is well kept. This is a very dog friendly place which is unusual for National Parks. Dogs are allowed on all trails that are above the rim.
There is also a paved greenway that navigates through the village and was great for exploring.
The cell service for Tmobile and ATT is non existent. My ATT cell showed 1-2 bars of 3G but when trying to use it, calls failed and data also would not work. Verizon voice was fine but the data speeds were horrible, making it hard to get any work done. During normal hours, the d/l speed was under 1mbps so you could barely surf the net. Forget about streaming. I found that speeds were decent (3-6 mbps d/l) before 7am so if you have to get some work done, get up at 5am to do it. I tried my WeBoost and it didn't help at all.
Don't try to arrive early. They have a very strict no check in before noon policy. The staff has no flexibility on this. I arrived at 10am to avoid predicted 50mph wind gusts and they would not bend at all. Even though plenty of spots were open and I offered to drive around myself to find one they didn't care. I ended up parking the RV at the market for a couple of hours until check in time. They were pretty rude about it as well.
The Grand Canyon itself was amazing. Everyone should see this at least once in their life and being able to stay right in the GC was a huge bonus that made it very easy to overlook the price and other downsides. I would stay here again for the location and the fact that the park served its purpose.

Being within walking distance, or a quick shuttle ride away from the Grand Canyon makes this RV park a must! While the sites are small and the facilities aren’t anything fancy, the location simply can’t be beat. We rode our bikes to the Grand Canyon for sunrise and sunset and were there in less than 5 minutes. The RV park was also filled with elk which was fun! There’s definitely not a shortage of hikes and other activities to do in this area. However, if you’re just hoping to check the Grand Canyon off your bucket list like us, 2 days was perfect. We can’t wait to go back and be more adventurous though.

Visited in a 32' Class C. No tow car, so appreciated the bus service (runs starting early enough for sunrise and late enough for sunset). Sites kind of close, but plenty of room for chairs and awning and site had an outside grill. We were next to bathroom, which was dated, but clean for being so busy. Loved that Elk walked around the park in the evening. This was a busy RV park, but truly worth it if visiting the grand canyon for a few days.

A lot of pavement and symmetrically angled pull through sites. Everyone gets a table and a fire pit. Things were well maintained. The showers were OK. The laundry room was out-of-this-world. At least 12 washers and dryers. This place is like a little city during the high season. It's a bit of a longer walk to the Canyon itself than I would have thought, but it's do-able. The elk don't seem to mind all the generators and pavement.
