Relatively popular, huge roadside pull out with no signs prohibiting overnight parking. Located right next to the highway and completely exposed to it so traffic noise is significant, though traffic should be minimal overnight, there will be some vehicles for sure. Interpretive signage at the pullout.

Directly across the street is the short Soldier’s Summit Trail and about 1 mile south is the Parks Canada Visitor Centre with interpretive displays, garbage and pit toilets. Dall sheep roam the hills in this area so bring your binoculars.

No cell service here. Cell service is available closer to Burwash Landing to the north and Haines Junction to the south.

I swung by to check this campground out and take a few pics but did not stay overnight. Campground is relatively small with sites close together as happens at most full hookup campgrounds. No one was around on a Wednesday afternoon in late May though there were some RVs and more empty sites. Nothing special but affordable if you need the hookups. A bit of a walk into town but doable. Campground is adjacent to a small lake called the Motherwell Resevoir with a paved path along the water. I didn’t notice a dump station but there are sites with sewer hookup so presumably you can dump somewhere.

A lovely campground, a bit on the sunny side with a long pebble beach. Campground and beach area are together which means most campers walk to the beach but there is parking for day use access. Huge, shady grassy picnic area at the waterfront and pebble beach extends across the entire length of the shoreline within the park boundary.

I loved this park overall, especially the beach area except for one problem: no cell signal at all. Even though it is only a 15 min drive outside the town of Dunnville which has good signal, it lies just out of reach. Even with my booster I got only very marginal signal, just enough for the occasional messenger message to get through.

Sanidump, comfort stations with showers, all the things you would expect from an Ontario Provincial Park.

Great park to visit if you want to disconnect.

About a 25 minute drive from hwy 101 on paved roads, this campground has 3 loops with approximately 8 sites per loop. Loop A is the first and closest loop to the entrance and was the only one open when we arrived in early November 2017. Loop B is the prettiest, with more spacious sites. Sites in loop C are clustered around a fenced grassy area which is presumably for horseback riding. Loops B and C are designated for equestrian campers.

Off loop C is a trail down a small embankment to a creek. Trail is short but pretty - worth a quick stroll. Campground is quiet even though it is not far from the road, we didn't notice any road noise.

We arrived in the evening. Around 9am a truck stopped out front out site and someone got out and checked our vehicle, presumably to confirm we had the Discover Pass, then drove on. Around 11:30am a couple people arrived on foot to check and clean up the site - we saw them just as we were leaving.

No garbage, dump, or water. 7 day camping limit is enforced by asking you to self-register your license plate at the iron ranger.

Exactly what you would expect from a private RV park - sites are side by side with no privacy. Full hook ups at each site and they have pull-through as well as back in sites. It was reasonably quiet for traffic noise as the motel building helps block the sound of the road.

No service for me on AT&T anywhere in town. Bell Canada worked at the campground and around town. WIFI was only good for social media surfing and signal only reaches so far into the campground from the motel building. I couldn't upload anything.

Restroom was clean and recently renovated with economy finishes. Shower stalls were very small but restroom itself was quite spacious.

Laundromat on site only has 3 front loading washers and 4 dryers and is shared with the motel so it has irregular hours. Petro Canada Gas station on site with the same price of gas as the rest of the town.

Footing was a mostly gravel - there is a grassy area by the restrooms for your dog to walk. No garbage in the campground - there was a dumpster at the entrance. No recycling anywhere.

I did not stay here but walked around and took pictures to post here. The campground was closed and gated when I arrived in late October. The entire campground is right beside the highway and the traffic noise from passing tractor trailer trucks is really loud. Good cell signal as it is right on the edge of town.

We did not camp here. Campground is located along the river but a high embankment blocks the view of the river from the campsites unless you hike up. The main row of campsites are directly along a road, though the campground map shows more sites farther back. Price was $40 for an electric site and $35 for non-electric.

Good spot if you want to be right in town. Good cell service.

The dump station is free for anyone to use and located right in front. Thank you Golden!

Location is super pretty with trees and the river has a gentle roar as the water cascades down the rocks. Footing was dirt/grass and was relatively level. There were 2 distinct sites, both of which were large enough for a large RV to scoop into or could even accommodate multiple RVs.

This spacious turnout is sandwiched between the road and the river. Its a short distance from the transCanada highway but out of earshot of the highway traffic in Hope BC. Silver Skagit Road is relatively quiet for traffic.

There is no signage at this location prohibiting overnight parking or tresspassing. However, there are some boarded up cabins beside the site, across the street and down the road that say No Tresspassing on them.

There is a picnic area at Silver Skagit Road and Flood-Hope Road with some signage about the river, a couple picnic tables and garbage bins, just a block or 2 away. There are also additional pull outs farther down the road though this one was the nicest out of the couple miles we explored.

Cell service was good. There was only a little bit of garbage at the site, easily picked up in just a couple minutes.

Easily accessible road immediately north of Quill Creek leads east down a gentle slope to a spacious gravel area with ample space for multiple rigs. Entirely 2wd accessible with lots of space to turn around – suitable for any size rig. Also easily visible from the road so you can see how much space there is before you even drive in.

The creek is really a small rushing river of glacial runoff – the creek is fairly loud which helps drown out the traffic noise from the occasional vehicle passing on the Haines highway. The water is a murky and cold and the current is strong.

A narrow gravel road continues east along the creek and there are more campsites down this road for more adventurous campers with suitable rigs. Probably best to walk the road first to be sure you can get in and out and sites are available before you go driving down there. Road goes on for quite a ways – I did not find the end of it after a couple kms I turned back.

Across the road immediately south of Quill Creek is another, smaller, entirely accessible gravel landing with one particularly good camp site right next to the river. I stayed at this one for 4 nights. – see pics of tan Tacoma towing small travel trailer. Technically it is inside Kluane National Park on the west side of Haines Highway but there were no signs prohibiting camping and no one bothered me. This is a more popular spot for people to pull in for a look around so it may be a little busier during the day.

From the west side, there is also a narrow gravel road that leads farther from the highway and a couple more sites back there. Probably best to walk this one first as well – brush overhangs the road a bit and the camping areas are smaller than on the east side.

This spot is halfway between Haines Junction and Kathleen Lake Campground - park of Parks Canada. I used it as a base to drop my trailer and go exploring down the Haines highway with just my pick up truck. Kathleen lake is clear and cold but swimmable on a hot day, Dezadeash lake farther down is a shallow lake with warmer water better for swimming.

Good cell signal here from Haines Junction – signal reaches all the way to Kathleen Lake but then disappears as you continue south. I had great signal on Bell Canada, another camper had some signal in the area on AT&T.

Bears are possible in the area though I didn’t see one. Bugs were not bad at all.

Absolutely stunning forest campground with towering hemlock and cedar trees. Lovely fresh cedar scent in the air. Sites are large and well spaced. Sites 1 - 10 are along the creek and are reservable but also available fcfs for 1 or 2 nights if not reserved. All the other sites are also stunningly beautiful too just not by the creek.

At the end of the road is the day use area with a good sized parking lot. A gorgeous swimming hole with multiple levels separated by the cascading water was a fun excursion on a warm August afternoon. Beware the water is COLD but worth a swim if you can hack it. You can even slide down the waterfalls if you are adventurous enough.

Pit toilets, garbage and recycling. A water pump in the forest too.

Camp host was friendly and helpful and came around to collect the $20 fee. Day use is free - totally worth a stop for a quick dip or wade in the water even if you can't stay to camp.

Cell service on Bell Canada with cell booster, otherwise not. No signal on AT&T even with the booster. No road noise at all, creek sites enjoy the gurgle of the creek.
