Step back in time to a place where campground hosts care and escort you to your site to make sure you get in the perfect location. We took our new camper out to this campground for our maiden voyage. Level sites, cement patio, clean facilities, rec-room, and a friendly host. Big rig to tent campers welcome, year round and seasonal residents were friendly. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our first nights. Bath house clean and in good repair. Even had a couple of cabins for rent.

We had a socially distant family trip to Bryce Canyon National Park. Half our party stayed at the motel and we stayed in one of the nine RV sites. Visiting a national park right now is weird. It is prime season but there is no one here the same could be said for pioneer village. Our grandkids enjoyed the pool and kicking the soccer ball around the grass field. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The wind was high 10-45 mph during our stay as a cold front came through. The shower house was clean and the sites were level but dusty. You need 20 feet of sewer hose, 20/30/50 amp service at each sight. Water was ok but a filter should be used to eliminate the odor. If this place was packed I am not sure we would have enjoyed it so much. We did not eat at the restaurant on sight but it smelled delicious.

This quaint campground is full of charm. We got in just before the Governor changed the rules to visitors must quarantine for 14 days so they were closing the campground to out of state campers. The sites are mostly level and each site has a covered picnic table and an artificial grass mat. The site we had had a view of the Rio Grand (not so grand anymore) and is convenient to I 25 so getting around was easy. The bathrooms are clean but need some minor repairs, they also are not air conditioned so pick your shower/bathroom times carefully or it will feel like a sauna. I think we got a special rate because of the pandemic water is on one side of the pad electricity on the other but it was not a problem when we positioned our camper. Overall a great experience

We setup right next to Lake Waco, we enjoyed a light breeze coming off the lake most of the time. We arrived after the gate house closed but before the gates closed. Sites look level but we needed to reposition a couple times to get everything thing level and maximize the view. All sites come with covered picnic table and fire ring. Not many trees so shade is hard to find. Was a great place to stay and is close to Waco. Only negative was the bathhouse needed some attention. But overall this is a good place to stay

This is a quite friendly place to stay. 80 percent of the campground is long term campers. The owners are amazing. Our issue was the smell of the water in the showers, rotten egg sulfur smell. The trout pond is well stocked and they had a great taste. We will definitely come back again to unplug from the world.
