Pines RV Park

We stopped here for a few nights on our way down from the Smokies. The spot was large enough for us, but close to the noisy road (didn't bother us too much). The owners are super nice, helpful, and a pleasure to talk to. This place is open year round with only a few full-time living on property. Only a few minutes outside of Franklin. The activities cabin was super cute with books, games, a pool table, and more. ATT service was spotty. Cell had none but hotspot with external antenna had 1 bar LTE.

Step back in time to a place where campground hosts care and escort you to your site to make sure you get in the perfect location. We took our new camper out to this campground for our maiden voyage. Level sites, cement patio, clean facilities, rec-room, and a friendly host. Big rig to tent campers welcome, year round and seasonal residents were friendly. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our first nights. Bath house clean and in good repair. Even had a couple of cabins for rent.

Upon arrival, a thunderstorm was bearing down. ‘You can check in later, let’s get you set up before the storm hits.’ He led us to the site and helped us get in, in the pouring rain and thunder. Throughout our stay, staff was very responsive. A huge plus.

This park is probably 50% long-termers. We needn’t have worried. Every site is neat and uncluttered, no junk. The sites are close together, but not the tightest I have seen. Laundry facilities less than 200 feet away. Full hookups and cable tv (albeit only 4 channels) make this a bargain.

Wonderful little park. Very affordable considering all the amenities. Full hook ups, cable TV (9 Channels). Great hosts. Park is very well maintained. Shower house and rec room are both very nice. Pretty strong WiFi. The only issue is it’s right next to very busy 64. Lots of noise and traffic. I hate to say anything bad about this place but it’s important to know.

The site we we given was tight, the site next to us was maybe 20' between trailers. It's on a 4 lane divider road and the truck noise started up about 6:30 am. There were other sites farther away from the road with a tree buff that would have made a difference. Lou, the owner, was a little too helpful with the back in stage of things, I know he was trying to help but. With a little moving around we got level without blocks or anything. Out of Lou's control, but there was a dead, I guessing dear, over in the woods that gave our site a unique aroma. Luckily the nights were pretty cool so we did really want to spend any time outside. Lou has a nice rec room with a pool table, lots of puzzles, books a TV and some others things we can't remember. Guessing at the bars of 4G
