Just a stopover spot. Some ammeneites to keep the kids busy. Well maintained, nice dog park. More of a parking lot next to the interstate vs a campground.

Relocated here from a less satisfactory place a few miles away. Nice sites, view of the mountains and some shade. They are doing a great job with the Covid protocols.good wifi.

Nice level terraced pad with room for our van and tow car plus awning, picnic table and fire. It was a holiday weekend so it was full and lots of noise. You hear everything up hill, which sucks when the neighbors bring a karaoke machine. But overall it is a nice place, close to Estes and RMNP. Decent wifi made up for lack of cell service, even when the park was full.

Great river front sites in a beautiful canyon. Onsite rafting/tubing outfitter and close to Glenwood Springs. It does get windy and dusty. Had to drop a star for experience with front office and restaurant manager, had poor experience with both. But would like to come back and spend more time as there is a lot of stuff to do.

First, hosts (owners?) were awesome and accommodating. They were the best part though. Park is a lot of permanent residents and got a real bad vibe from them. Dogs pooping in our campsite, getting yelled at by others while walking our dogs to the dog park (we were the ones doing it right?!?). The park is also pretty rough. Zero ammeneites or conveniences. Didn't feel comfortable sitting outside so we stayed in the whole time. We checked out after one night and found somewhere else to stay. Recommend you avoid or only stay if you have to.

Needed a place for the night on a XC trip. Koa up the road not answering phones. But we called here and they had several sites available on a drive up basis. Pulled in right at closing...9pm. Huge spot, quiet and had everything we needed. Cheap, too.

Large site with gravel pad. Lots of trees. Not sure the difference between regular and premium sites, but just go for premium. If I come back I'd try for #44. Good access to Chesterfield and ammeneites.

Did a short trip and stayed one night on A loop. It was quiet, though a bit hot in the afternoon. Decent camp store for necessities but not much else. We didn't have time to enjoy the hiking trails but maybe next time.

We've camped here twice in the fall, each time the campground was pretty empty. There are 28 sites in two loops, no electricity or anything else, really. It was built in the 1960s and definitely has that vintage vibe to it. But if you want a place to get away and don't want to pay a lot, this is the place for you. The entire campground is very forested with lots of shade, dark skies at night. Sites are large and there is decent space between them, but very few are suited for RVs, you might back a small trailer in some but not many of those were level. I'd say 5 or 6 of them had a pull through driveway that was a distanced from the main campsite by about 40 feet - so you won't roll out of your door and sit at the picnic table. This was typical of a lot of sites, be prepared to lug gear pretty far; was definitely built in a time when people tent camped most of the time. The bath houses are older and were closed due to Covid in our most recent stay. There were portable toilets available. The dump station was also closed, I've read elsewhere that this is permanent but I have not seen anything official on that.

I would not expect cell service on any carrier.

A few nearby hikes, recommend the Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory about 15 miles away.
