Good base camp to explore the area, some sites have great views, others shouldn’t even be a site. Roads and sites are gravel. Roads are in decent condition. Sites are pretty level. Showers are $3 for 6 min and they are clean, laundry area is nice, restroom stalls for me were very small but they are clean. I believe there was an ownership change recently and that may be a good thing. There appears to be several improvements underway. If you have a big rig, scout it out ahead of time.

Super clean, well maintained provincial park. The coastal mountains are amazing, the Howe sound is loaded with beauty. Sea lions put on quite a show. Yes there is a train that goes through every nite at 2 am and yes it was loud but it is here and gone in 30 seconds. Bathrooms are big clean and have very nice showers which are free. The campground sells firewood, exchanges 20# propane and has various other snacks and small items. People are very friendly. Reserve early or you will risk not getting in. Sites on the water are amazing if you can get them!!

All sites are on the Fraser River. Amazing walking trails and super dog friendly! The tug boats were awesome to watch. We were able to beach the kayaks right at our site so that is another big plus. No hookups. Pit toilets are super clean. Very nice place.

We came here from Boxcar cove. This is a nice place to boondock. As the other reviews read the water spots are tough to get. We pulled a 12 pop up so we were able to get down to the water. The site was not level at all but we made it work and there was a place to beach kayaks. This is a much busier place than Boxcar but still very pretty. Heard and saw some wild burros across the lake. Less light pollution than the spots near Vegas so stargazing was better! Cell service sucks down on the water. I would not want to arrive after the sun goes down. This place is DARK!!

Very nice well run campground! Sites were big, level and clean. Camp host Ed was awesome! Lake level was way down but still able to kayak. Be prepared. No store real close for supplies.

Very nice state park close to Bellingham! Water views, super nice bathrooms and showers. Some of the sites are awkward but level. Pretty place.

This is a beautiful place to boondock. Our camper was literally 20 feet off the lake. When you come down the road for Boxcar and Crawdad cove stay left and follow the road all the way to the lake. It’s bumpy but not terrible. There are spots all over to camp along the way. We brought kayaks so the beach was perfect for us!! Amazing scenery. LOTS of coyotes! They get close but don’t bother you.
