This site had everything we needed. The site got flooded in some heavy rains but that's not the campground's fault. The pad was level and all of the hookups worked fine. There is an abundance of full timers here and the place is well kept. It's just 20 minutes from the outskirts of Ottawa, which is why we chose it. It's right off a main highway. We booked late so our options were few. We would have loved to stay at a provincial park but waited too long.

Some highway noise but with all of our windows shut for the AC, it was fine.

Really fun watching the all the kids enjoy the place!

The place is empty but our site is right next to another camper. Wifi is poor but I did not expect much in these hills. It’s beautiful. We are only spending one night but would think about coming again later in the year.

I-40 is right there so it would be hard to avoid the highway sounds. We were okay as we were running our aircon. The staff was very attentive. Our site was level - always a plus - and since we just needed a place to rest on our way south, the experience was fine. The wifi was actually pretty good, too.

This is not your usual RV park and we appreciated it! We had all the hook ups so it is convenient. The site has a little patio and we did not feel jammed in with our neighbors. Michael was there to greet us and take us to our site. We met his Dad, Mike, too. We felt welcomed. It's neat to be on a working farm.

Park staff were very responsive when we had an issue with our first site. The power post was not grounded. We moved sites and all was well. Sites were not completely level but not bad. We didn’t take advantage of everything the park offered as we wanted to see Birmingham and just stayed 2 days. We would stay again.

We have stayed at two Alabama state parks and have been impressed with the facilities. With full hook-ups we have not had to use the bath houses so can't comment on those. But staff have been great, the sites are close together but not obnoxiously so and you can't beat full hook ups for a decent price. We'd recommend a state park stay in Alabama any time.
