The fields and rolling hills are immaculately maintained. We practically had the place to ourselves and it was so nice. The RV spots are separate from the tent sites (which are leveled-off areas along the hillsides. There was a new and very clean shower house plus WiFi should you need to send some emails before you leave. Very affordable rates and a friendly manager/owner. Could not recommend this campground highly enough.
I just had the most enjoyable stay at Chantilly. It's right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and just down the road from Floyd, a wonderful little town full of bluegrass music and sweet locals. For $10 a night you get your pick of rolling green acres to pitch your tent and the showers are hot and clean. The best part is that the sun comes up right over the mountains across the way and warms you up!
We arrived at 7PM and there was nobody at the office anymore to point us to our campsite. So we found our own way. We had site 28B and had pre-paid $45. The left side of the campground is on large, green, rolling hills (which is where we stayed) but the right side has campsites that are much more together (in "traditional" linear fashion). Not much to do here but it was a nice spot for 1 night to stop during our long drive and let our kids run off their energy. One minus for us was the fact that the campground was farther away from the Interstate than we anticipated - solid 30min detour on small country roads. T-Mobile signal is very spotty - we had to walk around to find areas with somewhat sufficient signal.

Well maintained, everything you need , VERY clean!! Sunrise is amazing on that hill BUT be careful when heading out DO NOT follow GPS out toward the left (narrow hills, one way road with low hanging trees. Not good for big rigs, at all, yikes!!
Go out the same way you came.
Big Warning for your Exit out

Great campground with amazing views and spacious sites. Everything from tent camping to full hookup rv sites. We stayed in a dry camp rv area called hilltop with amazing views of the mountains.

This is a festival ground set up for live music festivals in non-Covid times. The property is beautiful and campsites are large and spread out. There are well marked trails on the property for hiking and mountain biking. Staff is friendly and facilities are clean and well maintained. We really liked this place. We had full hookups. It would have been nice to have some shade since the way our campsite was oriented meant our awning couldn't protect from afternoon sun, but it seems all sites in that area are facing the same way. Laundry and camp store on premises; utility sink at the bathhouse. Great location for Blue Ridge Parkway and bluegrass music.

This campground is a “keeper!” The campground is spacious, well-cared for, clean and beautifully located in the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd County, VA. You can do as much — or as little — as you like with activities in the surrounding region. If all you want to do is relax, this campground is quiet and delightful. The staff is helpful and very accommodating.

This campground is amazing and a true hidden gem. Mike the owner was so nice and accommodating. He even delivered our firewood to our campsite. They have a nice little camp store in case you forget anything. Frisbee golf and cornhole is available too!
We were on top of a hill with other RV’s with gorgeous views and sunsets. The grounds were very well kept and mowed. Trash cans were abundant and bathrooms were decent.
This campground also accommodates tents that are spread out and we even witnessed a sweet wedding in their event space, that had guests with horses!
We will return and stay longer!

This campground is in a peaceful setting with rolling hills, cows out of your window and plenty of space. There are walking trails, a laundromat, dog park and disc golf onsite.
Floyd has a couple of nice restaurants. The pizza from Dogtown Roadhouse was fantastic and the beer from Buffalo Mountain Brewery was great. The local Food Lion was large and clean.
For more to do, Roanoke is about 1 hr drive and has all the amenities you'd need
Cons are the drive in is long on 2 lane windy roads. Lots of slow turns although I will say the road conditions were good.
The internet was pretty much non existent and not usable even though the campground was barely filled.
ATT service was not reliable even w/ a booster. Verizon was in and out depending on load. During the week, Verizon was good enough to work and stream video calls.
Make sure you look at the website and follow their instructions very carefully as you could easily find yourself turning down a road you cannot get out of and end up in a bad spot.

We loved it here. The site was nice and long (so plenty of room for cars). It was relatively level, so we didn’t have to do much with leveling. It was a pretty long walk to the bathroom, so we had to drive to use it each time. We also have 5 kids ranging from infant to 11. We could have walked, but we chose not to because of the frequent potty breaks.
The views were beautiful and the stars were so bright and clear. The campground is really quiet also and wide spread.
Bathroom B was one of the cleanest bathhouses we have seen at campgrounds. Bathroom A seemed to be maintained less and my kids refused to use it….
Word of warning: while the WiFi is good, we had zero phone service around the area.
We will definitely be returning for a longer stay! Overall, we loved it!
