We were headed into Colorado and Trailing Edge was a convenient place for us to stop. Because it was August, we were very thankful for the working electricity, water hookup, and great internet. Cindy met us and was super helpful in getting us settled into our site. By the next morning I had forgotten the wi-fi password (oops!) and texted Cindy. She replied immediately with the password and said it was no problem. Btw, the wifi had been updated by Cindy not too long before we were there and it worked very well. We highly recommend this RV park as a convenient stop off I-70. Nothing fancy about it, but super functional, quiet, and convenient. Be sure to call for a reservation. Cindy told us that after the week we were there (mid-August), she was booked all the way through Thanksgiving!

We camped in Eagle Creek Campground just outside Gardiner and found this potable water, dump station, and gas station to be very convenient. We didn't think the $20 pre-pay fee for dumping was exorbitant since it felt like a trade-off for the free potable water. Unfortunately the potable water and dump station were very near each other, so only one or the other could be used by one customer at a time. Still, we were glad they were available!

Robert (the park caretaker?) was very gracious to us. I called the phone number for the campground/park, and he asked me to text him our information on when we wanted to stay and for how many nights. I didn't hear anything further from him, but he was ready for us when we got there and answered my text letting him know we were nearly there. Though there weren't any actual sites available, he hooked us up to shared water and electricity with a campground resident. The huge trees around the campground were gorgeous, but the whole place felt just a bit dodgy, between barking dogs and lived-in campsites. There was a nice path along a creek and a park area by the campground. All of this was by a city park with a baseball field.

The park was convenient for us from I-22 in Alabama. Not entirely sure we'd return if we had other options. Don't remember whether we paid $20 or $25 for the night, but were thankful to have somewhere to pull off with services for the night. We didn't dump there since we didn't use much water of any kind -- not sure whether there actually was any dump other than those attached to where the residents were living.

We've stayed at James's place two times. Both times he was a stellar host. Super responsive to texts for reservations or the stray question or two that we had. The first time we stayed we left by about 7a, and he texted to make sure everything had been okay since he'd noticed us leaving and we'd gotten such an early start. Everything was fine -- we were just on our last leg to get home and had a deadline! Campsites are plenty level to leave your vehicle attached for an overnight stay. All sites have power, water, and sewer hook-up. Lovely view to the front and nice walking area. This campground is in an area of Arkansas where there are several vineyards. It looks like a couple other campgrounds have been added near James's, but we'll definitely keep returning there. Between the ease of "landing" and James's attention to detail with campground care/communication, it's an easy pick. I think some folks stay there for more than an overnight when doing the wine country experience.

Having never seen Devils Tower (other than in Close Encounters of the Third Kind! :) ) we made a reservation for one of the sites directly looking toward DT. Check-in went fine, but we did get a teensy bit confused trying to find our campsite -- there are loops within loops at the campground. Because we stayed so close to DT, we were able to head in after the crowds had left, things had quieted down, and the weather was cooler. Walked the 1.3-mile paved trail around the base of the tower. We were there in mid-July and everything was hot and dusty. Hook-ups were fine, and we were able to dump our black water at our site before leaving. We loved being so close to DT! It was amazing! We'd pay the extra fee for one of the premium-view sites again.

While the RV sites were nothing to write home about, staying at Riverbend Hot Springs for us was all about the unlimited access to the hot springs. There are something like 8 pools to share with other folks (and I believe, some private pools available for an extra fee). The pools vary in temperature from hot-hot to I-can't-even-imagine-getting-in-that hot. The RV sites were conveniently directly across the street from the hot springs.

The landscaping and decoration of the hotel grounds and hot springs were lovely. There were signs asking for quiet in the hot springs area, but the quiet definitely wasn't enforced.

Everything as far as our camper hook-up and parking worked fine. Wi-fi wasn't much better than iffy. I guess it was too far from the main hotel/hot spring facility. There was a bit of noise over the evening from a nearby restaurant Loved that we didn't have to unhook our camper for our overnight stay. Not cheap, but as a break from our driving to use the hot springs, we'd definitely return.

We stayed here for a quick overnight as we traveled I-40 back in April. The park is actually on old Route 66. We drove through town and followed Route 66 as we left. It was definitely interesting. The 4-star rating is due to the grumpy gentleman at the front desk when I had a question about the bathroom I had tried to use (no toilet paper).

We appreciated our pull-through level site, the dog park area, and the wi-fi. Also, this park houses animals (horses, llamas, etc.) in pens on-site for folks traveling through the area. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting some horses that were staying there when we did. The RV park was very convenient to I-40.

I saw that there are new owners for the park. I certainly wish them the best and will hope to meet them if we come through there again.

This RV park was super convenient for us on our drive from Kansas to New Mexico. Office staff was super helpful -- gave us a pull-through site as we were only staying one night. The RV park really did used to be a drive-in theatre. There is a playground in front of the still-standing screen and the park has a couple of old classic cars around to add to the atmosphere. Great to have water, electricity, and dump right at our flat (no leveling needed, didn't unhook for overnight) site. Internet worked fine; can't quite recall (shame on us for waiting so long to review!), but think there was wifi that worked pretty well. Definitely would return as an overnight stop! Guymon itself wasn't very clean or inviting, but we only got gas there before heading to our campsite, then left early the next morning.

We stayed here two nights in July, so the weather was really hot. We were thankful to be able to hook up to electricity and use our ac!

Pros:
We had a pull-through site.
We were escorted to our site and given helpful information for setting up.
Great location for visiting the area -- especially check out Legend Rock State Petroglyph Site and Wyoming Dinosaur Center.
Beautiful surroundings.
Thermal pool was very relaxing to head to in the evenings.
Water, electricity, and in-site dump worked great.
Small laundry facility, though we didn't use it.

Cons:
Air stank mildly-to-somewhat of sulphur, but that's to be expected with such a large thermal pool within the campground.
Thermal pool bottom was pretty dirty and slimy. Surface of water wasn't great either.
Sites were very close together.
Our site was red dirt, so if it had rained, it might have become pretty gummy, clumpy, or slick.

I'd read prior reviews before we reserved at this campground, so we brought lake shoes for use in the thermal pool. The trains either didn't come through very often or we were sleeping or we were off-site -- they weren't a bother to us. My husband had insisted he wanted to try this campground because of the thermal pool; I'm glad we did. We'd go back.

We were able to snag a 5-night reservation here in August of '21. The park is clean and beautiful, the sites are very nicely laid out with a degree of privacy and space between most of them. Our site had a view of Pike's Peak (somewhere on Revenuer's Ridge, don't remember exact site number). There is potable water available to fill your freshwater tank within the camping loop -- the sites in our loop only had electrical hook-ups. Site was very nicely leveled and situated. There were several activities available for the public while we were there, including a quick watercolor lesson with a ranger, and music and guest speakers a couple evenings at the park's amphitheatre. Internet was very good. The park isn't too far from Colorado Springs, so we drove there to take the cog train up Pike's Peak (make a reservation ahead of time). Take advantage of this wonderful park if you get the chance. Hiking, great views, and wildlife abound. Colorado does charge a nightly fee that you pay when entering the state parks in addition to the actual camping fees -- be sure to keep that in mind as part of the cost. We were staying long enough and intending to go to other state parks as well, so we went ahead and paid for a year's worth of the extra fee -- just be prepared.
