We loved our stay at Grayton Beach State Park back in April/May. Weather was perfect day after day, beach was amazingly beautiful. The beach was about 3/4 mile from our campsite, so we either rode our bikes or drove there every day. The water was chilly, but not awful at that time of year. As mentioned by others, there are great bike paths all around the area.

We stayed in the newer loop and didn't have any issues with it not feeling private enough. The folks around us were considerate and there were a fair amount of trees and bushes around us. We used the washer and dryer in our loop a couple times, which was super-convenient. Our site was level and easy to get set up in.

The area surrounding the park could get quite congested with traffic and people -- I can't imagine 30A in the summer! We mainly just enjoyed hanging out at the gorgeous beach and riding our bikes.

It's really difficult to get reservations, but go for it. So worth it! Watch the site lengths, particularly in the older loop. The sites there look much more private and are lovely, but some of them didn't look nearly large enough to accommodate a large 5th wheel or a Class A unit. Most would have been fine for our 26-ft camper, but that would have been the limit for several of them.
