We stayed here to visit the Botanical Gardens because it is affiliated with the one in Atlanta which is fabulous. The campground here is ok. The ideal site is 42. It is on Lake Lanier and they have kayaks available to rent. Atlas Pizza in downtown Gainesville was great. Bring firewood. It is $5 for a small bundle.

Sites were very close together. Site 13 was on the creek and was probably the best site. The bathrooms are very clean. Close to Sylva, NC which is a nice town. Don't miss Pie Times Pizza, Innovation Brewery, Dillsboro, NC, Franklin, NC. Don't follow GPS to the campground because there is a very sharp turn. Use the directions provided on the website.

This park was ok. The sites were very tight but the park is close to town. Grocery store is very close. Site 31 was the most secluded. It is a pull through. Greenville has a nice downtown and is worth a visit. There is a beautiful waterfall in downtown that should not be missed.

There is a lot to do here. Helen, GA is close by. Anna Ruby falls is near and is beautiful. Took a nice tour of a historic home with a Cherokee Mound which was interesting. They have fishing, zip lines, lake for swimming, ax throwing, bow and arrows and a lodge. The sites are very close together here and have no privacy. Site 52 was the best site.

We live near here. It was a close to home trip to test out the new camper. This is a nice park. The waterfall is beautiful. There is not much in the way of shopping close by so make sure you pack what you need. Lots of hiking trails. We had to switch sites because of water issues. The sites with the walls are private but you just end up looking at a wall. Site 2 was better it was more open with a great view of the sky. Home Restaurant isn't too far and is very good.

This park is beautiful. The sites are large and it is covered with live oaks. It is very close to Savannah, GA which makes it a good spot if you want to city camp. Dont miss Starland Yard in downtown Savannah. The best site is 58.

It is a beautiful area. Close to Clayton, GA which is a cute town and Tallulah Gorge. If you have a large camper I would skip this place. The best site is 15. Ada-hi Falls is basically a trickle and would go to the Gorge instead. Grapes and Beans cafe in Clayton has good food.

This is close to home. We wanted to take a quick camping trip but Chilhowee (near here) is closed during the winter. This park is ok. It is very small. Rainbow falls is close by. It has several river crossings. I would stay at Chilhowee before coming here.

Had a good time here. It is very close to Chattanooga. The scenery is very beautiful and there are a lot of good hiking trails. Some sites are very private, others are not at all. The best sites are 7,9,17,22 or 25 for privacy. Chattanooga is a nice town. Had a salt water float at Drift Float Spa. The owner is very nice there. She said that the best restaurant in town is Canyon Grill which is by the park. It was closed so we didn't get a chance to visit.

Camping close to Charleston, SC. The park has a lot of amenities if that is what you are into. It has dog park, hiking trails, waterpark and full hook up. There isn't a lot of privacy here. The McLeod Plantation is a must see.
