Only our second Thousand Trails stay and only less than ten parks total, but probably our least favorite so far.
Minus Side:
Small individual sites--we have a small trailer, but the bigger rigs here certainly seem packed in. Either way, my neighbors have their picnic table about two feet from our window. The entire place has a 1960s-70s feel as far as amenities go. I'd also echo some comments about mud (though endemic to the area, I think) and iffy reservation system (though perhaps more a TT issue than the campground's). We ran into some folks in a welcome center and we happened to learn they tried to book and, even as TT Elite Members, would have had a $58/night charge--that seems messed up--and the res system told us "No Room at The Inn" for earlier in the week, but it sure seemed to have lots of spaces open when we got here Friday.

Plus Side:
Hospitable staff, access to cable at no charge (other than a $1 adapter), the convenience of pull-through sites, a nice-enough walking trail, proximity to Savannah/Hilton Head/Charleston, and the rate-inclusion of TT add up to enough that I would stay again if we come back to the area.

From the décor and horse barn, etc. , this felt much like a Western Ranch. Also had the size of it as well. Probably the largest/most spread out campground at which we have stayed. As the other reviewer said, you need some type of vehicle to get around to the amenities. We had just purchased our motorhome (and got the free stay with the purchase) and had not bought a toad/bicycles yet so we felt a bit isolated, but had no problem with that for a short stay. We would like to go back now with our extra vehicles and take more advantage of the park itself.
As part of our free stay package, we had to listen to the Travel Resorts of America sales pitch. We had a very courteous salesman and the plan did have nice perks, but pretty rich for our blood. We stayed in late April and had a surprise snowfall--1-3"--so glad we took advantage of filling our propane when we first arrived. Also we took the "scenic" route getting there, going over quite a bit of gravel road/county route travel. We'd suggest following the campground's directions for a smoother ride. Google Maps sent us astray again! :)

Having never gone to the Keys before, this resort made for a great introduction. I don't often use the word resort for campground, but it definitely fits here. It has its own enclosed area on the key, and one could spend an entire stay just in this area, enjoying the pool, beach, restaurant, and watching all the pelicans do their thing on the dock. However, don't do that because the Keys have so much to do and so much to see. At mile marker 70, Fiesta Key sits about halfway down the Overseas Highway. We spent day trips to both Key West and Key Largo and especially liked the upper keys--but to each his/her own.

We stayed mid-week in mid-September and the place seemed so empty though full of RVs. We didn't mind that at all. A little bit of a challenge to find as our cell signal kept cutting out. A little farther from Cleveland than I thought, but close enough to Lake Erie and we liked Geneva-on-the-Lake for a lot of reasons. Big props to Harvey's RV in Andover several miles down the road as we had tire issues and he gladly hooked us up with the tire place across the street who fixed us up with courteous, timely service.

As our third stay at a Thousand Trails park, we continue to enjoy the opportunity to stay at these parks. It has a very organized staff that followed up on our questions quickly and courteously.. Very nice amenities. Though long-term campers make up a good portion of the population, we felt comfortable as passers-through and talked to others who felt the same. We enjoyed the proximity to Port Charlotte's beaches and especially enjoyed visiting the Wildlife Refuge in Punta Gorda. In addition, we canoeing with Peace River Paddle and saw some fabulous sights. We will do this again sometime!
Only one real negative--on our last Friday there, someone had a party with some truly terrible karaoke in a shelter close to our campsite. However, they finished well before dark and at least gave us something to complain about. :)

We have a Thouisand Trails membership with Trails, so we got the no added cost stay. We had a site just before the water inlet. Lots of seasonal/annual sites. The 2-3 sites next to us seemed unusable with the electric box mangled. It seemed pretty quiet for such a big park, though we did see a few folks out and about.

We got in on the opening weekend at a very reasonable price thanks to our Coast-to-Coast membership. We haven't used it much, but it helped us out here a great deal since we had a very hard time finding April campsites available in Massachusetts. Very close to Sturbridge with a whole bunch of interesting shops/spots. We made the drive into Boston multiple times--a rather long but easy enough drive when avoiding rush hours. Even made a day trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
The campground itself has a LOT of hills, but we stayed right on the courtyard, a nice, level site. Friendly staff. A rather picky policy on some items: a mandatory $5/night "guest fee" for all campers, mandatory $5/night charge for cable, and a required $5/night for 50 amp service, even though we only use 30 amp. However, I find it pretty hard to complain with the cost.

I've downgraded my rating from 4- to 3- stars because of bit of a Coast-to-Coast issue. C-to-C has labeled the park as a "Coast Resort" which typically means I'll have either no or a nominal charge at the campground itself. I think it should label as a "Good Neighbor Park" which means a discounted fee in addition to the Coast-to-Coast membership cost and $10 "points" charge. The manager at Breckenridge called the day of our arrival to let us know about the extra charge, but we had the booking for a couple months and wouldn't change on the day of arrival. All that said, it still had a relatively inexpensive cost, just more than we expected.
As for the park itself, I enjoyed talking to the staff and the site itself had all we needed. It has a basic clubhouse and shower house, well-maintained and easy to access. Had a very scenic drive to get here and a relaxed atmosphere all around.

Has just about all the amenities one could hope for, which adds to the cost, of course. Large campground has hundreds of sites but still well-organized with decent sized places. Has a pool and hot tub available even into late September, when we arrived. Incredibly easy access off I-95/I-195; takes you right to the front door. We found the staff hospitable and friendly. Easy to find our place in the newest section of the park.

This campground has gotten a lot of bad press in the reviews here, but we enjoyed it. We had a very nice spot right on the lake, which certainly added to our experience. We had no problem getting level, though I saw several sites that may have presented more difficulty. However, the hilly terrain around the lake makes that necessary. Our spot had plenty of space compared to lots of other places where we have stayed. The check-in went quickly and efficiently. We used our Coast-to-Coast membership and had none of the extra charges we've had at other CtoC stops. It also accepts KOA (we have not stayed at any other KOAs, so no comparisons there) and Travel Resorts of America, and compares favorably to the 4-5 other TRA campgrounds we've visited. I also found Lake Oconee an interesting small city with a lot of growth evident in the area. Anyway, just wanted to add a positive review here.
