This campground is literally just a short drive to the entrance of the Badlands National Park. FULL hookups!
Campground was clean, had laundry services, store, restaurant for breakfast, pool and a walking trail in a field behind campground which was great to walk my dog. Very friendly employees no matter who you interact with. Bathrooms were clean as well.
This seems to be a one night stop for most campers - we were here a week and during the day the campground was less than 1/2 full but the evenings were pretty packed.
The only downside is sites are pretty close together, and only a few campers have a good view of the badlands. Our view was mostly campers.
We would stay here again and would recommend it.

Overall nice owners of a nice clean park close to town. Had a pool, fairly decent shade, a store, propane, showers and laundry on site. Laundry was reasonably priced. would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Great place for a quick stop or overnight stay. Nice, clean bathroom, picnic area, dog section special RV parking, and a beautiful view at sunset and sunrise.

Easy stop over to split our trip up and rest. Had bathrooms but we didn't check them out.
Nice wooded lots, and on one loop - was high above the river. We stayed on the side right behind the rest stop - and it was pretty spacious and quiet. There is road noise but it dies down after dark - and with our fan going in the camper - it wasn't any issues.
much better than parking lot - which was our alternative.

Site 32 was a great long site facing the lake, gravel slightly unlevel. Had trees for shade and grass sections as well. Behind the campsite across road there was a wooded area for dog to do his business. There was an unofficial access point to honeycomb tva trail which was a nice hike. Camp hosts were very friendly. Campground was quiet and really dark at night with no street lights. Hard to park at night but believe it helped with everyone staying quiet. The only negative was the bathrooms were a dated and one toilet was not working.

We normally use free campsites to break up our travel days but decided this year, we wanted to ensure we had electricity due to the heat and a new puppy.
We stayed here one night to breakup our travel day and it was a nice campground. The owners were really nice and take price in the grounds kept up the landscape, had a dog park, play ground, bathrooms, laundry and meeting room. The pond is a nice feature but we didn't fish in it.

A very remote area. The campground was nice, and the owners/employees were nice. Loved the price and they had Sams Discount!
It seemed like most people that stopped here were 1-2 nighters or full time. Staying 6 days was a little long since there wasn't much to do in the area.
The biggest negative was that the sites were set up to where you were sharing a front yard - which usually only works if you are with a group of people.
We visited the old prison and car museum in a nearby town - which was pretty cool.

Really liked this campground, host was very nice and moved our spot once we found out we were near vault toilets. We were here during the week so the campground was almost empty - so it was quiet and peaceful.
The campground is older but they have made updates to the bathrooms and there is a really nice walking/bike path from the campground down to the marina/lake, and another picnic area, etc.
The only downfall is the sites do not have water - which makes for an additional worry when staying multiple days.

This was a one night stop over, nice campground spots, shaded, and a great bike path to walk that goes along the edge of campground, and next to river. Bathrooms were clean and not too far to walk to. Definitely didn't feel like a campground near schools, etc.
The only downside was it had recently rained so the path had some dangerous muddy spots and the bugs were pretty fierce.
