It is adjacent to a rest area, so it is in close proximity to the freeway. C loop is sandwiched between the highway and traintrack but is still quite pleasant. There was only one train during the night. G loop is through a tunnel (for eastbound travelers) and borders the Clark Fork of the Columbia River. There is a lovely 1/2 mile interpretive trail that winds through here. Perfect trail to stretch your legs.
There is a dump station and fresh water. There is a restroom with flush toilets and hot/cold water.
There were only two other campers.
This campground is a days drive from our home base. We would definitely stay here again.

I passed up Missoula and overnighting at a Wal-Mart for free to go West a bit further to stay at this National Forest Campground for 10 dollars. I would have spent so much more at Wal-mart for suff I don't need then that!
The entrance to the campground on the westbound side of I90 is at the end of the rest area. Turn right and go 1/4 mile and you'll see the entrsnce to loop A and B. Loop G is on the westbound side. To get to either side there is a one lane tunnel.
If you are in an RV and want a pull-thru goto Loop A. Loop G looked like group tent camping. So single tenters may want to opt for Loop A or B.
This campground is ideal for overnight or a couple of days. Yes, it is on the interstate and there is some traffic and railroad sound, but nothing to keep me up at night.

We stayed here 3 nights on the west bound side. Easy access through the roadside rest. They have 7 pull through sites that will accommodate all big rigs. Some road noise but not bad, also some occasional train noise from across I-90. As a side note the campground hosts have firewood split and ready to use and it is free! Overall good overnight spot or stay a few days. Very few campers here the nights we stayed. All sights are paved with picnic tables and fire pits.

I called the ranger station the day before we were to arrive & was told the G loop on the south side of the highway, thus not through the culvert tunnel, would be open, but upon arrival, we found it closed. We were able to make it through the culvert, but any taller and it would have been impossible. I left a voicemail for the rangers expressing my thanks for the "good" info 😉 Other than that, it is very easy access for big rigs.
Although almost completely deserted, this park was kept clean and even had a flush toilet at the front of C loop (website says only pit type.) There was both fresh and tank-cleaning water available. The leaflet boxes for the short interpretive nature trail were fully stocked. There is a lot of highway noise, but we weren't bothered by it inside the RV. Signage and the presence of several bear-proof food boxes indicate bears are around but we saw no signs of any.
At only $5 per night (50% off with Access Pass) it was a near-ideal place for an overnight stop.

While boondocking near St. Regis we were in need of an RV Dump Station. Quartz Camp has an East and West campgrounds on either side of I-90. Each side has both a dump/potable water.
As of this post cost is $2.00.

Good deal, but don't expect to sleep very well because of highway noise and trains going by every hour hissing...

This campground is located at a rest stop exit on I-90 (eastbound and westbound). It has A, C, and G loops. G loop is on the east side of I-90, while A and C are on the west side of I-90. If you’re going eastbound, go through the rest area, following signs to the campground. You encounter the G loop first; this loop is closest to the railroad tracks. You can continue past G loop and the road will go through a tunnel to the other side of the interstate, where you find A and C loops. Or if you are westbound on I-90, access A and C from the rest area. A and C loops are located near the Clark Fork River, but the river is pretty far below, down a steep embankment, not very accessible. When I was there (Aug 2019, Sunday evening), there were few campers in any of the loops. I stayed in the A loop. The campground is in ponderosa pine forest, with thin understory. Most of the campsites are spaced well apart, so it is pleasant and does not feel crowded. There are clean vault toilets, water, and trash receptacles. There's an RV dump and water at loop C. The loops and campsites are paved, though some are kind of bumpy. I didn’t see tent pads, but it looked like a person could set up a tent in most of the sites. Most sites are back-in, with room for long RVs. There are a few pull-through sites in loop A. There is noise from the interstate, and sometimes a train goes by. Really, the man running his open-frame generator was making more noise than the traffic ☹; those should be banned in campgrounds. Overall, I thought it was a pretty campground and a good place to spend the night on my way east. $10/night. Only 3 stars because of traffic noise.

We stayed here twice. Once east bound and the other returning west. The sites have an asphalt pad and a picnic table and fire ring. No water, electric or sewer. There is a nice restroom at the entrance on the north side. There are also pit vaults. water was available nearby. The highway is nearby and there are train tracks to the west.
The fee is only $5 with a senior or annual pass!

We prefer dry camping or at least state/national forest camping and Quartz was great for that! You can fish and enjoy the river via the interpretive trail in loop C. A small walk but worth it! Cool, clear Clark Fork River!
A mention of camping etiquette because the sweet hosts there WILL and do regularly call the sheriff if there are loud partiers. Generators should shut off by 10PM. This is a general dry camping rule and it’s rude / not safe to run one all night. Lastly, if you have your pick of spots as we did in July, DONT Park right by someone. Give each other privacy whenever possible while camping. It’s the kind thing to do.

Easy access off I-90 behind a rest stop. Lots of pine trees and a river runs behind the campground. Fire pit and picnic table provided. Great Verizon signal. Some highway noise.
