Need a discover pass to stay here, although nobody ever came around and checked for them. Tons of spots and each one has fire pit and picnic table. Several vault toilets too which were nice. We came in mid-week in June and there were maybe 7 other campers here (mainly people with horses). There’s about 30 spots of all various sizes. Big-rig friendly for sure.

This place was great! If you take the road to the left, it goes back about 1/4 mile where there is a large area for parking. We were here over the weekend in June and it was fairly busy as it seems to be a trailhead for riding dirt bikes (we were fine with it and they were gone by early afternoon). Verizon and ATT both had service. Couldn’t hear the highway noise either. Free and close enough to Bend that we enjoyed it!

Area still closed due to flooding as of mid July 2022. Luckily we found a spot on the opposite side of the river near the boat launches. Was fine for just a night but wouldn’t want to stay any longer. Was quiet and no sketchy people walking around so that was a plus.

We stayed 3 nights in early July for the Calgary stampede event that was going on. There were probably 10 other RVs camped out with us during the week. Only downside was there were lots of mosquitos but can’t complain too much when it’s free. The casino and workers were nice enough and didn’t bother us. We did go in and register our vehicle with security, easy process.
We found this place middle of April. Lots of spots were still open. While we were there they had a road grater and a water truck to keep the dust down on the main road. The spot we found had a little fire pit along side it. Cell service was good.

Pulled in a 20ft camper at this spot. Really cool area overlooking the Fremont river. Bigger rigs should take the upper road when coming off the highway as there is no place to turnaround if you take the lower road.

We had a 20ft long camper trailer. Was super easy to locate the area. Busy for early April but was nice to know there were other people camping out here too.

Super easy to find and there were quite a few spaces for people to park and camp. We arrived on a Wednesday so the place wasn’t too busy. More people showed up as the weekend got closer. ATT had no service here

Have a 20ft trailer and all areas here are very spacious with fire pits. We both had cell service (ATT & Verizon). There we a handful of other bigger trailers and a few vans too. Just far enough off the highway that it was secluded and quiet.
There were some large construction equipment that seemed to be working mid morning time frame. Not sure if this is an active gravel pit or what they are planning on building here

We have stayed at Lone Rock multiple times over the years. This is dry camping only and when we were there, the bathrooms/outdoor showers were closed. Big rigs can definitely go, but make sure you stay on the packed sand. We had to dig 1 small car out while here since they got stuck in their FWD car. Honor system to pay the nightly rate if you get there after guard has left for the night.
