We have stayed at Lone Rock multiple times over the years. This is dry camping only and when we were there, the bathrooms/outdoor showers were closed. Big rigs can definitely go, but make sure you stay on the packed sand. We had to dig 1 small car out while here since they got stuck in their FWD car. Honor system to pay the nightly rate if you get there after guard has left for the night.

Stayed here for 2 nights as we weren’t in a hurry to our next location. The cell service is great. There’s really only one spot for a bigger rig to park at (by the lake.) It was nice to have a vault toilet there although we didn’t need it. A few cars came and went, a little flat bottom fishing boat even launched out of here one day. Close to interstate by not noisy

Many spaces for regular vehicles and about 7 spaces for RVs/Trailers. We arrived late on a Sunday night and it was fairly busy, but 3 trailer spots were still open. We stayed longer than 8 hours and nobody bothered us. THis location also has a dump area and running water/toilet area. ATT had cell service

Yes there are squatters and quite a bit of trash…however, it’s free. You can drive to the complete opposite end of the dried up lake to get away from the squatters and trash. We were here midweek (Tues and Weds) and it was quiet. Only a few other vehicles were around us.

Pulled in a 20ft camper at this spot. Really cool area overlooking the Fremont river. Bigger rigs should take the upper road when coming off the highway as there is no place to turnaround if you take the lower road.
