Right inside CdeC next to resort. Campground is rundown with grassy area full of prickers. Terrible for dogs. Only potable water is at dump station
Small RV area with 10 sites. Reasonable rates with good location between BCNP and Cutamera NRA. Positive was river running thru park. Negative was road noise.

The campground needs improvements. The grounds are full of prickers, causing trouble for your dog. No fire pits although I don’t know why, plenty of room between sites. If you want to see Canyon de Chelly this is your best choice. Just don’t expect a 5 star facility.

FCFS fills up quickly. Campers come early and hold several sites for friends by placing chairs in empty sites. DON’T go up the road to camp in BLM land. Rangers will issue you a ticket if they caught you.

32 mile drive on winding roads along the lake. CG is nice with partial views of the lake for most sites. One hiking trail and, of course, the lake for recreation. There is little to do in the area because you are so far out. Harrison was a bust, we went for lunch and everything was closed.

Ditto to other reviews with two points. This CG is heavily used and always shows full. But there were many open campsites when we were here. I’d drive in and talk to the host. You’d probably get a site for a night or two. They also have overflow camping. It’s older but just as nice as the CG. Overflow was empty and I’m guessing you’d find a site anytime.

Site 20 looked over storage units. Traffic noise from I-70 was prevalent. Well maintained pull thru sites made setting up a breeze. I would consider this an overnight stop or base for visiting Grand Junction
